Equarios Balance is the Infinity who embodies Balance and rules its Supreme World. He presents calculation, restraint, and equilibrium as the qualifications for universal rule, yet his response to Nux reveals how easily that ideal becomes self-preservation and enforced cost.

Biography

Caution under an external threat

Equarios first appears when the four Infinities confront evidence that Nux and his allies may come from another universe. Although he insists that the rulers must act, he declines Orravyn’s invitation to enter the unknown universe alone. Equarios reasons that foreign travel may impose restrictions, but also that those restrictions may weaken with time; the uncertainty makes Nux too dangerous to ignore and too dangerous to test individually. He therefore proposes collective movement, the capture of a lesser target for information, and an approach to Azriel in case the Fifth Infinity can be separated from Nux. (Chapter 2130)

The crisis also gives Equarios an argument for his oldest ambition. He believes only Balance can keep the Universe stable and admits that he would rather destroy it than let an outsider possess it. When the Infinities debate who should receive Absolute Power, he judges Ul’Thakar too arrogant and impulsive, then acknowledges that a patient, calculating being like himself would be ideal. Ul’Thakar exposes the self-interest beneath his careful phrasing and calls his planning cowardice. Orravyn’s later assessment is similar: Equarios weighs negatives so heavily that he may refuse to act until certainty arrives, even when delay strengthens the enemy. (Chapters 2212–2214)

Equarios can nonetheless concede when a position has become useless. He withdraws the proposal that one Infinity should surrender to another, calms the meeting, and redirects it toward a practical defense. He supports guarding High-Level Worlds, studies similarities between Nux and the Seer, and opposes adding Azriel before his motives are understood. The resulting policy buys unity and information, but it also preserves the four-way stalemate that Equarios claims only his supremacy could solve. (Chapters 2214–2218)

Public unity and private advantage

When the Infinities manifest to the Universe, Equarios’s arrival literally steadies the clash between Light and Darkness. He joins their public declaration that the four rulers will act as one against the foreign Anomaly, using his calm voice to frame the campaign as protection of a suffering Universe. The collective message serves a real defensive need, but it does not change his relation to the others: they remain enemies who have schemed against one another for trillions of years. (Chapters 2219–2222)

Equarios again acts as mediator when Azriel finally contacts them. Ul’Thakar and Azriel trade provocations until Ul’Thakar offers a direct duel; Equarios stops him because the group still needs information, then asks questions without the contempt that has stalled the exchange. His restraint allows the conversation to continue, but Azriel uses it to emphasize the four rulers’ distrust and suggests that one may be aiding Nux. Equarios is the only ruler Azriel cannot directly connect to the supposed conspiracy, a lack of evidence that does not make the others trust him. (Chapters 2287–2291)

That distrust becomes profitable when Seraphielle and Ul’Thakar go to war. Equarios and Orravyn watch rather than intervene because both expect Light and Darkness to weaken each other, leaving Balance and Eternity dominant. When Nux manifests another enormous form and attacks a Balance world, Equarios considers investigating but will not leave Orravyn behind with the advantage. His inaction demonstrates the weakness Ul’Thakar identified: even a direct injury to Equarios’s faction cannot make him risk giving another Infinity the better strategic position. (Chapters 2293 and 2296–2298)

The Crown network and alliance with Chaos

Equarios and Orravyn finally stop the Light–Darkness battle after Zylarith offers information about Nux. Equarios helps bring the four together and tests Zylarith’s extraordinary claim that Nux grew from a mortal to his present strength within only thousands of years. Once the System’s former connection confirms Nux’s age and Zylarith explains his devouring growth, preserving the old war becomes more dangerous than ending it. Equarios accepts cooperation with both opposing Infinities and their ancient Chaos enemy because Nux now threatens the balance on which every one of their futures depends. (Chapters 2322–2326)

The alliance captures Vashti, and Equarios urges the others to seize her rather than continue arguing while she can still resist. After Seraphielle tortures her and Orravyn turns her soul into the Crown of Peace, Equarios immediately recognizes the relic’s connection to the empty body. He helps clarify its function: Vashti cannot predict Nux himself, but can notice that her projection of a targeted world becomes inexplicably blind and relay that warning through a linked Crown. The exact reason her comprehension succeeds where the Infinities’ methods fail remains unknown even to Orravyn. (Chapters 2328 and 2332–2333)

Equarios accepts the Crown network despite its origin and despite the plan’s intrusion into every World’s Will. He also joins the other four current Infinities in misleading Zylarith about the division of Nux’s body, memories, and soul. Their temporary balance is therefore not mutual loyalty; it is a calculated pause before the surviving claimants fight over the spoils. Equarios’s proclaimed defense of stability becomes indistinguishable from protecting his own claim to Absolute Power. (Chapters 2333–2336)

Enforced prices and final capture

When Nux fights Zylarith, Equarios enters his dimension with the other current Infinities and helps isolate the battlefield from the Main Universe. The five combine their otherwise opposed powers into a single system. Equarios covers the battlefield with Balance, imposing costs whenever Nux uses Anomaly to achieve an impossible advantage; he cuts Nux after an impossible wound on Ul’Thakar, tears his body in response to thousands of impossible punches, and later transfers half of Ul’Thakar’s received damage back to Nux. This enforcement lets the alliance fight without allowing Nux’s exceptions to remain free. (Chapters 2355–2360)

The system is powerful but not absolute. Nux’s combined Law strike nearly kills Ul’Thakar before Equarios can fully answer it, and Nux redirects a feint toward Equarios until Zylarith twists the path away. Equarios tightens Balance over the void and makes repeated use of Anomaly progressively harder while his allies attack and heal. After hours of coordinated pressure, the five subdue Nux and participate in erasing his existence. Equarios calls the result necessary, then joins the other current Infinities in turning on Zylarith, preserving their four-way order by removing the temporary fifth partner. (Chapters 2360–2365 and 2400)

Nux returns before that betrayal can be completed. Equarios summons his scale to punish further impossibilities, but Nux cracks it even though the scale is only a representation rather than a material object. The violation shocks Equarios and demonstrates that the Law’s former operating assumptions no longer constrain its target. After seeing the other Infinities tortured, Equarios attempts to flee; Nux catches him, tears off his arms, erases his ability to die, and pulls out his soul for the same continuing punishment. Three thousand years later, the Balance Interpreter rules his Supreme World but cannot locate him. Equarios remains alive in sealed space, without the certainty or leverage on which his caution depended. (Chapters 2400–2403)

Appearance and personality

Equarios first appears as grey light surrounded by calm, neutral energy. His physical manifestation wears flowing sapphire robes edged in white and silver, with faintly luminous skin, short white hair streaked blue, one blue eye and one silver eye, and a slowly rotating pale-blue halo. His presence harmonizes competing forces: when he forms between Light and Darkness, their gold and black energies settle into a tranquil pattern. (Chapters 2122 and 2219)

He is calm, analytical, and habitually indirect. Equarios considers possibilities others dismiss and can mediate between enormous egos without sounding submissive, but his gentle or compassionate tone is often performance rather than affection. He believes his restraint proves he deserves universal authority; his peers interpret the same habit as fear of moving without guaranteed victory. Both readings are supported by his conduct: he identifies Nux’s danger early and coordinates effective responses, yet refuses to investigate an attack on his own faction when doing so could advantage Orravyn, and he ultimately tries to flee once Balance can no longer bind Nux. Abilities and cultivation

Equarios is an Infinity whose comprehension of Balance can be imposed directly on reality rather than confined to an Eternal’s Domain. The corpus does not establish how he acquired this authority or name his foundational Law with an “Absolute” title; it demonstrates the Power of Balance and its Grand Scale representation through their effects.

Infinity authority over Balance

Equarios can suppress discord and establish equilibrium over environments on an Infinity scale. His physical arrival stabilizes the mutually hostile manifestations of Light and Darkness, while in battle he imposes Balance across the entire void rather than selecting only one visible target. Activation is shown through will, a raised hand, or adjustment of the Grand Scale; no incantation, fixed duration, maximum range, or quantified energy expenditure is given. (Chapters 2219 and 2359–2360)

Balance is not simple benevolence or universal equality. Equarios uses it according to his judgment that an advantage must have a payment. He believes only his rule can preserve the Universe and treats foreign possession as imbalance severe enough to justify destroying the thing he claims to protect. His authority can therefore stabilize competing forces, but its moral purpose is Equarios’s claim rather than an independently demonstrated property of the power. (Chapters 2212–2214)

Grand Scale of Balance

The Grand Scale manifests as a representation of Equarios’s authority and measures advantages that violate the expected order. When Nux makes a physical blow harm Ul’Thakar’s dispersed darkness, Equarios answers the impossible gain by opening a cut on Nux. When Nux generates thousands of impossible punches, the accumulated price tears his muscles, splits his fingers, strips skin, and covers him in blood. In sustained combat, repeated impossibilities become progressively more costly, allowing the other Infinities to pressure Nux while the Scale supplies consequences. (Chapter 2359)

Equarios can also redistribute an established burden rather than only create a new wound. After Nux damages Ul’Thakar, he shifts half that damage to Nux, immediately making him cough blood. The demonstrated target and range are battlefield-wide, but the corpus does not establish whether the ratio is always one half, whether Equarios may choose it freely, or what criteria the Scale uses beyond Equarios’s language of advantage and payment. These effects are innate expressions of Balance, not item-derived abilities. (Chapter 2360)

The Scale has limits and can be outpaced. Equarios cannot prevent Nux’s most complex combined strike from erasing most of Ul’Thakar before it lands, and Zylarith must redirect Nux when he changes targets. After resurrection, Nux physically cracks the Scale’s nonmaterial representation, an outcome Equarios considers impossible. The source demonstrates that Nux’s evolved Anomaly overrides the mechanism; it does not establish a general physical method for breaking the Scale or whether the damage permanently destroys Equarios’s Law. By the latest chapter, Equarios is conscious but captive and unable to apply Balance effectively against Nux. (Chapters 2360 and 2401)

Coordination, perception, and delegated rule

Equarios’s strategic analysis is a learned competence rather than a separate supernatural Law. He identifies possible multiversal restrictions, notices the relationship between Nux and the Seer, moderates negotiations with Azriel, and asks the questions that clarify the Crown’s warning mechanism. His caution improves coalition planning, though incomplete information and distrust repeatedly delay action. (Chapters 2130, 2212–2218, 2288–2289, and 2332–2333)

The Balance Interpreter is a separate proxy consciousness that governs Equarios’s Supreme World when he does not act directly. The latest chapter establishes that this consciousness takes command after Equarios’s capture but cannot sense his location. The corpus passages reviewed here do not explain when it was created, the fraction of Equarios’s consciousness it contains, or its independent combat capabilities. (Chapter 2403)

Relationships

• Nux: Equarios identifies Nux as an external threat early, helps build the coalition and trap against him, and uses Balance to make his impossible actions costly. After Nux returns, he breaks the Grand Scale’s representation and imprisons Equarios without death.
• Ul’Thakar: Equarios judges Ul’Thakar too reckless for Absolute Power; Ul’Thakar calls Equarios too cowardly to use it. Their criticism is deeply personal but does not prevent Equarios from checking Ul’Thakar’s temper or protecting him through damage redistribution when cooperation becomes necessary.
• Orravyn: Balance and Eternity gain from the Light–Darkness war and watch it together, yet neither trusts the other enough to investigate Nux alone. Orravyn’s Crown and relics later complement Equarios’s enforced costs in the five-Infinity alliance.
• Seraphielle: Equarios moderates Seraphielle’s disputes and benefits from her war with Darkness. He later helps stop that war and accepts both her healing support and her torture of Vashti because their shared objective outweighs the temporary imbalance.
• Zylarith: Equarios accepts the ancient Chaos enemy’s knowledge as necessary, questions his claims, and fights beside him. He never intends to honor the final division of spoils and joins the attempt to remove Zylarith once Nux appears erased.
• Azriel: Equarios acts as the bridge in the Infinities’ hostile exchange with Azriel, deliberately avoiding a superior tone to obtain information. Azriel offers no proof that Equarios aids Nux, but succeeds in increasing suspicion among all four rulers.
• Vashti: Equarios urges her capture and helps assess the relic made from her soul. He recognizes what the Crown contains and understands its indirect prediction model, but does not oppose the methods used against her.

Items

• Crown of Peace: Equarios helps evaluate the Crown network made from Vashti’s soul and supports its distribution through World’s Wills. Each Crown reports to Orravyn’s central Orb when Vashti’s projection encounters the blindness associated with Nux’s future interference. The relic is coalition infrastructure rather than Equarios’s personal possession, and its detection remains indirect and partly unexplained. (Chapters 2332–2336)
