Duke Centho is the head of one of the Skyfall Kingdom's four ducal houses and a decisive but off-page power in the royal succession struggle. Biography

Backing competing claims to the throne

Duke Centho first enters the political record as the patron behind Prince Evander's claim to the empty crown-prince position. His backing makes the contest a three-way struggle supported by three of the kingdom's four Dukes, placing his house among the institutions capable of determining the succession. Much later, rival factions still view him as an experienced negotiator who would immediately detect weakness and exploit it, which helps explain why they approach his grandson Lucas instead of confronting the Duke directly. By the later succession crisis, Centho had secretly reached an agreement with Merula and shifted his support behind Lovis.
