Vedier

Vedier Blaze was the Dragon Hero, son of Arcturus, and the strongest of Yrniel's Seven Heroes at the time of their challenge against Nux. His confidence rested on a real phase advantage and a Complete Dragon foundation, but humiliation turned that confidence into a threat against Nux's family and ultimately cost him his life.

Biography

The strongest Hero and the pride of a Dragon

Vedier enters as the only Semi Saint among the Seven Heroes and the one peer even Elijah does not claim to surpass. His position is earned: he is a Complete cultivator, trains seriously with a sword, and has begun stabilizing his record against experienced Semi Saints after early defeats. That combination of bloodline, stage, and recent progress makes him confident that no Great Sage can genuinely threaten him. (Chapters 986, 1030, and 1126)

He initially regards Nux's challenge as beneath him and only accepts after the Ancestral Order orders the Heroes to participate. At the start of the fight he steps back, refusing to gang up with six allies against a Great Sage. The choice is not simple cowardice—he is willing to fight alone—but it also protects his self-image by assuming the other Heroes cannot lose. Vedier's first exchanges validate part of his confidence. A threat that outlived the duel

Vedier returns to the Dragon Continent alive but gravely injured. His mother argues that the outcome arose from an agreed duel and urges Arcturus not to turn wounded pride into a continental conflict. Arcturus instead treats the attack on his son as a personal humiliation and continues pursuing Nux and the Devil persona, widening Vedier's defeat into a feud that endangers the Dragon leadership. At some point after this return, Nux kills Vedier. The death itself is not shown in the supplied chapters, so its timing and mechanics remain unknown.
