Aiden

Aiden is the Great Sage body cultivator and vice leader of the Destiny Clan. More cautious than several of his companions, he recognizes that ExceedoGenesis is concealing its strength but still enters the clan deathmatch, where loyalty to his longtime comrades leads him to trade his life for a temporary chance at victory.

Biography

Doubts about ExceedoGenesis

Aiden first meets Astaria and her clanmates in Destiny's high viewing box. His easy smile gives way to pressure when Melia dismisses the accommodations, yet her crimson-eyed stare makes him step back despite their equal formal stage. After Nux overturns Destiny's promoted duel with Graner, Aiden suspects that the new clan's apparent weakness is bait and warns his companions that ExceedoGenesis is not simple. (Chapters 827–832)

Vindan and the others treat that caution as cowardice or betrayal. Aiden nevertheless remains with the clan as it arranges a larger deathmatch, and he recognizes the familiar pattern when Nux encourages Destiny to advertise it publicly. His misgivings are therefore real and prescient, but they do not outweigh his loyalty to companions with whom he has built Destiny's sixteen-century legacy. (Chapters 836–842, 847)

The failed deathmatch

Aiden leads Destiny's close-range pressure as its senior body cultivator, expecting a mana cultivator such as Melia to be vulnerable in direct combat. She overpowers him within roughly thirty seconds, then controls the blood-soaked battlefield so thoroughly that Aiden becomes the main physical shield for the surviving Great Sages. He can break or endure attacks that trouble the mana cultivators, but he cannot reverse Melia's advantage while she controls abundant blood at range. (Chapters 843–846)

With Destiny collapsing, Aiden decides that one death is preferable to all of them dying. He burns his life force despite Vindan and Miliana's attempts to stop him, accepting Xavien's judgment that only he can create an opening. The boost lets him rush Melia, but she still pierces his heart. Aiden acknowledges that his clan was arrogant and then spends his remaining strength activating Destiny's disk artifact, which cuts Melia off from mana for five minutes. He chooses to keep his blood circulating long enough to witness the victory he believes he has bought. (Chapter 847)

Nux's intervention destroys that expectation. Aiden watches the Emperor reveal Incubus powers and cast a field of high-level explosions, then sees Destiny's remaining Great Sages defeated rather than saved. Unable to endure the destruction of the clan for which he sacrificed himself, he stops holding onto life and dies. Nux takes the sealing disk afterward; a later comparison to Aiden's artifact describes its effect but is not a later appearance by Aiden. (Chapters 848–858, 919)

Appearance and personality

Aiden is about two meters tall with a huge build, bald head, brown mustache and beard, golden eyes, and tanned skin marked by a life of physical training. He usually wears an approachable smile, but the heavy aura he releases unconsciously makes his Great Sage strength apparent. (Chapter 827)

He is sociable in manner, observant, and more cautious than Destiny's other leaders. Aiden notices traps in ExceedoGenesis's publicity strategy and admits his side's arrogance once Melia proves him right. That caution does not make him disloyal: Vindan, Miliana, Xavien, Walim, and Aiden are friends who built their clan over centuries, and he knowingly burns away his future to protect them. His final decision is self-sacrificial but also bound to clan pride, since he prolongs his death specifically to see Destiny win. (Chapters 829–837, 847–858)

Abilities and cultivation

Great Sage body cultivation

Aiden is a Great Sage-stage body cultivator, using physical durability and close-range force rather than spellcasting as his primary combat source. He rushes Melia directly, resists blood spikes that threaten Destiny's mana cultivators, and shields three fellow Great Sages while they defend their temporary position. The corpus does not name a martial technique, weapon, elemental affinity, exact striking range, or passive recovery ability for him. Melia's superior speed and blood control overwhelm him at equal stage, establishing a clear practical counter in that battle. (Chapters 843–846)

Life-force combustion

Aiden can burn his life force to produce a temporary surge of energy and suppressive pressure strong enough to burden other Great Sages nearby. The boost activates by consuming his remaining lifespan and allows an explosive rush toward Melia, but even then he admits that he is not her match. Xavien suggests that ending the technique quickly might leave Aiden a few years, yet Melia pierces his heart before that possibility can be tested. Aiden then uses mana and life force merely to keep his blood moving for a few extra minutes. The demonstrated version is fatal, and no reusable or safer variant is shown. (Chapter 847)

Sealing disk

Aiden carries and activates an eleven-star disk artifact after Melia wounds him. The disk splits into four pieces, tears through her blood wall, attaches to her limbs as cuffs, and severs her access to both internal and surrounding mana. It suppresses cultivation for five minutes and is described as effective without resistance through Semi-Saint stage, but ineffective against Saints and Divine-stage cultivators. The sealing power belongs to the artifact, not to Aiden's body cultivation; Aiden still needs enough strength to trigger it and can be killed while its independent restraint remains active. Nux takes the disk after the battle. (Chapters 847, 858, 919)

Relationships

• Vindan: Vindan is Aiden's clan leader and centuries-long friend. He dismisses Aiden's warnings but tries to stop his life-force sacrifice, and Aiden dies still hoping to preserve Vindan and Destiny. (Chapters 832–837, 847–858)
• Miliana: Miliana initially accuses Aiden of betraying the clan through cowardice, then retracts the charge and desperately tries to stop his sacrifice. Aiden's mortal wound intensifies her determination to destroy ExceedoGenesis. (Chapters 832, 847–849)
• Xavien: Xavien accepts Aiden's decision when the others cannot, reasoning that his sacrifice is Destiny's only remaining chance. His cold language conceals anger and grief over sending a friend to die. (Chapter 847)
• Melia: Melia first unsettles Aiden and later defeats him at equal stage. He burns his life force to challenge her, admits her superiority, and uses the sealing disk to create a temporary opening after she pierces his heart. (Chapters 827, 843–847)
• Nux: Aiden correctly suspects that Nux is manipulating Destiny into a public trap but fails to prevent the match. Nux's arrival destroys the victory Aiden expected from his sacrifice and ends Destiny's resistance. (Chapters 829–837, 848–858)

Items

Aiden's defining possession is an unnamed eleven-star disk capable of sealing a target's cultivation for five minutes. Its four fragments become cuffs on activation, and its power is stated to reach Semi-Saints but not Saints or Divine-stage cultivators. Nux claims it after Aiden's death. No maker, acquisition history, activation cost beyond Aiden's demonstrated trigger, or later final disposition is established. (Chapters 847, 858, 919)
