Miliana

Miliana is a fierce Great Sage fire mage of the Destiny Clan, feared publicly as the Butcherer. Her demand that Destiny destroy the newly founded ExceedoGenesis helps turn a damaged reputation into a disastrous deathmatch, after which she is forced into Nux's service.

Biography

Pride, friendship, and Destiny's deathmatch

Miliana responds to Destiny's public humiliation by demanding that the clan destroy ExceedoGenesis and force its members to bow. She dismisses Aiden's warning that the new clan is more dangerous than it appears, treats restraint as cowardice, and personally disrupts ExceedoGenesis's recruitment to restore Destiny's standing. Her aggression is not merely performative. She is one of the clan's strongest cultivators, and her reputation frightens prospective recruits before the battle begins. Even when Vindan becomes cautious about publicizing the deathmatch, Miliana challenges his hesitation until his threat reminds her that his authority inside Destiny is absolute. (Chapters 831–841)

The deathmatch reveals the loyalty beneath that brutality. Melia overwhelms Miliana and the other Great Sages; Aiden burns his Life Force to suppress Melia, while another close companion dies. Miliana tries to stop Aiden's sacrifice, apologizing for doubting him, then directs her grief at Nux and his allies. She continues casting after losing an arm and joins Vindan and Xavien in a Life Force-fueled attack intended to destroy the entire battlefield, including their surviving clan members. Nux's Devouring Mist starves their magic circles of mana and reduces them to helpless mortals. The choice meant to avenge Destiny instead proves that its leaders will sacrifice their own followers, ending the remaining members' willingness to fight for them. (Chapters 844–855)

Enslavement and the end of Destiny

Miliana refuses Nux's demand for submission even after defeat and attacks him when he uses her safety to pressure Vindan. Nux cuts off her remaining arm and inflicts the Slave Seal's punishment on Vindan and Xavien. Seeing her companions convulse in pain, Miliana agrees to become a slave if Nux will stop it. Her acceptance is explicitly coerced rather than a voluntary change of allegiance. The seal then binds her intentions to Nux, while Elven treatment is arranged for the survivors' injuries. (Chapters 856–861)

Destiny's reputation and business collapse immediately after the loss. When Vindan considers withholding that decline from Nux, the seal tortures him again; witnessing it crushes the remaining pride of Miliana and Xavien as well. The three approach ExceedoGenesis early and help transfer what remains of their clan's operations under Amaya's direction. Miliana remains alive and bound in her last direct appearance. A later conversation only raises her as a hypothetical source of cultivation for Nux; he answers that he will not sleep with a woman he does not love and accept as a wife. The exchange does not establish a relationship or later change in Miliana's status. (Chapters 877, 908)

Appearance and personality

Miliana is a beautiful woman with red hair and bloodthirsty red eyes. Her fierce expression and reputation make her intimidating enough that men avoid approaching her despite her beauty. The source introduces her as Miliana Thundre but Nux's later Slave list calls her Miliana Winfer; the surname discrepancy is not explained. She loses first one arm and then the other during the deathmatch; Nux orders the survivors restored with Elven healing, but the corpus does not directly describe Miliana's appearance after treatment. She is rash, confrontational, proud, and unusually willing to escalate humiliation into lethal violence. Miliana mocks caution and enjoys intimidating weaker opponents, earning the name Butcherer. Her bond with Destiny's other Great Sages complicates that image: she tries to stop Aiden from dying, fights through mutilation after losing friends, and accepts enslavement to end Vindan and Xavien's pain. Those loyalties do not extend equally to ordinary clan members once rage takes over, as shown when she helps prepare an attack that would kill allies and enemies together. The Slave Seal suppresses future betrayal; later obedience is therefore not evidence that her underlying beliefs freely changed. (Chapters 831–837, 844–877)

Abilities and cultivation

Great Sage fire magic

Miliana is a Great Sage mana cultivator specializing in fire. She forms red magic circles to launch fireballs, burn blood from her own or her allies' bodies, surround herself with flame, and detonate areas through Explosion. She can create several circles at once and continue casting after losing an arm, so the gestures shown are not a requirement for having two intact hands. Her fire can destroy Melia's blood spikes and remove blood being used to interfere with the group's movement, but Melia can also break Miliana's connection to a circle through blood already on her body. Blood control, superior stage power, and attacks that deny casting space are demonstrated counters. (Chapters 844–850)

Fiery Shots of Destruction is identified as Miliana's strongest spell and fires repeated explosive shots at a chosen target. Her version of Explosion is at Small Achievement: it creates a wide blast but has lower single-target force than a focused 10-star spell, and Nux's Big Achievement version greatly exceeds its output and efficiency. Miliana combines her blast with Xavien's restraint and Vindan's Death Spears, but Nux evades before the sequence lands. Exact range, casting time, and mana expenditure for her ordinary shots are not quantified. (Chapters 848–850)

Miliana can burn Life Force to produce a temporary surge of mana. With Vindan and Xavien, she uses the increase to sustain countless circles for a battlefield-wide attack intended to annihilate everyone present. The cost is vitality, and the spell still needs a functioning connection between Life Force, mana, and the surrounding energy. Nux's Devouring Mist breaks that connection, starves every circle, and leaves the Life Force sacrifice trapped without usable output. The attack never completes, so its proposed annihilation scale is intended rather than demonstrated. (Chapters 852–855)

Slave Seal

Nux's Slave Seal is an external restraint imposed on Miliana, not one of her abilities. After she verbally accepts slavery under coercion, foreign energy enters her body and makes hostile or disloyal intent punishable with extreme pain. The seal can act on thoughts before an outward betrayal and compels obedience without proving genuine loyalty. No removal method, distance limit, or later weakening is established for Miliana. (Chapters 856–877)

Relationships

• Vindan: Vindan is Miliana's clan leader and close companion. She challenges his caution but fears his authority before the battle; during defeat, each accepts enslavement partly to stop Nux from harming the other. The seal and Destiny's collapse leave them serving the same new master. (Chapters 831–837, 850–877)
• Aiden: Miliana initially accuses Aiden of cowardice and betrayal when he warns against the deathmatch. She recognizes his loyalty when he burns his Life Force, begs him to stop, and directs much of her subsequent fury at avenging him. (Chapters 831–848)
• Nux: Miliana regards Nux as a weak, arrogant Emperor until he overwhelms Destiny's Great Sages. He humiliates, mutilates, and coerces her into the Slave Seal. Her later service is magically enforced; the corpus does not show reconciliation or voluntary affection. (Chapters 836–877, 908)
• Melia: Melia defeats Miliana and the other Destiny Great Sages through superior blood control. Miliana's fire temporarily counters some blood constructs, but she cannot overcome Melia directly and instead turns toward Nux and the weaker clan members once Aiden suppresses her. (Chapters 844–850)
