Princess Shayna

Princess Shayna is King Septimius's youngest daughter and the only royal sibling who consistently loves Aurora despite the Curse of Misfortune. Her loyalty gives Aurora a reason to keep living and later anchors the sisters' reunion in Agartha.

Biography

The Dragon kingdoms and the Abyss

Shayna begins under palace arrest and a cleansing regimen because closeness to Aurora has transferred bad luck to her. Unlike their other siblings, she does not blame Aurora and secretly prays that the visiting Lux will free her. She supports Lux and Gaap during the Coliseum deathmatch even when the rest of the Royal Family expects or desires their defeat (Chapters 836–837).

At her twelfth birthday, Shayna calmly challenges King Septimius's motives, correctly observing that he wants Aurora confined, yet accepts his order not to mention her sister publicly. Her humorous welcoming speech eases the ballroom, and she uses her first dance with Lux to ask about Aurora. Lux offers her Heaven's Gate membership and access to the Surface World, though the corpus does not confirm that she accepts (Chapters 845, 848–850).

Aurora's broken-memory trial reveals how important Shayna had always been. After Queen Bianca's death, Shayna slept beside the suicidal Aurora, trembling and crying even while her sister sang her to sleep. When Lux returns after the world's memories of him have been damaged, Shayna no longer remembers him even though Aurora and her father treat him as family. During the Abyssal attack on Agartha, she shelters underground in Aurora's arms and openly admits her fear as explosions shake the capital. Aurora reassures her that Septimius and Lux are fighting above, restoring the younger sister's role as protected family rather than isolated victim (Chapters 1136, 1140).

Shayna is twelve during her birthday celebration, small-framed and described as approaching a budding beauty. She wears a pink formal dress and a silver tiara at the event. Her manner combines gentleness, soothing humor, political sharpness, and familial courage: she can challenge her father with a steady gaze, comfort a lonely sister, and threaten Lux with consequences if he makes Aurora cry (Chapters 848–850, 945).

Royal abilities and limitations
