Piccoro

Piccoro is a black-scaled Dragon Born Saint, Cethus’s uncle, and one of the Crystal Palace’s senior protectors. Heaven’s Gate and the continental wars

Piccoro enters the Gate of Famine leading Crystal Palace forces seeking a Dragon artifact. He coerces the Vahan contingent and initially considers doing the same to Lux’s team, but Cethus’s claim over the group forces a compromise: neither side will initiate violence unless obstructed. When Keoza appears, Piccoro’s awe reveals that loyalty to the lost Crystal King—not simple aggression—drives his opposition to the current Dragon throne. (Chapters 659, 709)

His protection of Aur later brings him into sustained contact with Lux. Though Piccoro continues calling him a filthy Low Lander, he respects Aur’s permission, guards the prince’s movements, and ultimately carries Augustina’s Dragon Token into the Abyss because her premonition says Lux will need it.
