Lady Augustina

Lady Augustina is the Supreme Steward of the Crystal Palace, Keoza’s former right-hand woman, and one of Cethus’s grandmothers. Entrusted with Keoza’s transferred power and the defense of his family, she rules his abandoned domain, grants Heaven’s Gate asylum, and later leads her people into the final alliance against the Abyss. Biography

The Dragon kingdoms and the Abyss

When Heaven’s Gate needs sanctuary from the Divine Army, Augustina’s reputation as a short-tempered Supreme makes the Crystal Palace a credible refuge. She questions Lux about strength, survival, and the duration of his dependence before agreeing to a limited year of protection. Her terms defend her subjects as well as the guild: she protects the headquarters inside her borders but refuses to guarantee members who deliberately leave them. (Chapters 787, 809, 829)

The Dragon Token reveals why she accepts the burden of rule. Keoza transferred all his power to Augustina before disappearing, making her a Supreme charged with his wife, child, and followers. She has preserved that trust for centuries, and his return brings her to tears. Even so, she supports his larger priority—the Dragon Race’s survival—rather than automatically using him to seize the rival throne. (Chapters 809, 816)

The rescue from the Abyss and the final war

As the Abyssal threat grows, Augustina and her twin Lady Faustina protect the pregnant Dragon princesses and contain a scandal that could fracture their kingdoms. Augustina then relocates the Crystal Palace toward Espoir Frieden, coordinates with other rulers, and takes her place among the leaders confronting Nyarlathotep’s vast army. Her motive expands from guarding Keoza’s inheritance to preserving both Dragon realms and their next generation. (Chapters 1150, 1153, 1181, 1203)

Augustina dies in the final fighting alongside other members of the Alliance. Lux uses the Five Pillars of Eternity to restore her through true resurrection rather than undeath, allowing her to return home with the people she helped defend. The outcome vindicates her long stewardship while leaving the formal future of the Dragon kingdoms to a living coalition rather than a succession crisis. (Chapter 1221)

Appearance and personality

Augustina is an older Dragon Born woman with clawed hands and a commanding presence capable of forcing Saints into deference. She is deliberate, stern, politically cautious, and openly threatening when her territory or family is endangered. Beneath that severity she is deeply loyal and emotional: Keoza’s voice makes her weep, and her careful handling of Aurelia and Valerie shows a protective, pragmatic maternal side. Abilities and skills

Augustina is a Supreme because Keoza transferred all of his powers to her. That rank gives her overwhelming aura, instantaneous movement, the authority to deter the Divine Army, and enough medical perception to confirm the Dragon princesses’ pregnancies by pulse. She also possesses centuries of knowledge about Dragons, Abyssal warfare, and the political consequences of necromancy. (Chapters 809, 887, 913, 1150)

Her borrowed inheritance is vast but not equivalent to omnipotence. She relies on territorial deterrence, allied leaders, and organized migration against the Abyss; the final battle kills her despite Supreme rank. Her protection of Heaven’s Gate is explicitly geographic and time-limited, showing that power is applied through chosen jurisdiction and cannot guarantee every guild member everywhere.
