King Yvar

King Yvar is the corrupt former ruler of the Fynn Kingdom and the brother who displaced Vincent’s line. His pursuit of Adeline, reliance on coerced retainers, and abuse of royal authority culminate in a reckoning when Adeline returns with Lux.

Biography

Abyssal invasion and broken memories

When Black Market elders report Adeline’s return and Lux’s resemblance to Vincent, Yvar reacts with possessive rage rather than caution. He summons his Saints and Pseudo-Saint, intending to seize Adeline and Aurora while eliminating Vincent’s possible heir. His confidence rests on the Fynn Guardian, a Supreme-ranked Golden Statue bound to obey the founder’s bloodline and the crowned monarch. That safeguard fails politically before it fails physically: the Guardian recognizes Lux’s competing royal blood and, having witnessed Yvar’s cruelty, refuses to choose between their commands. Deprived of borrowed power, Yvar cannot defend himself from Lux’s summons and is captured along with the officials who enforced his rule. (Chapters 1058–1061)

Lux and Asmodeus then expose Yvar in the capital plaza, suppressing his strength with magical chains and allowing citizens to punish the ruler who once stood beyond consequence. Yvar continues asserting royal privilege until Adeline, unwilling to let further innocents suffer, personally beheads him. Lux refuses to animate him, and Asmodeus sends his soul directly into the cycle of reincarnation. The aftermath dismantles his personal order: his wives and children are revealed to hate him, his second daughter becomes steward, and Fynn passes under Lux’s control. His promised “reform” arrives only as a plea after power has vanished and changes neither Adeline’s judgment nor the kingdom’s rejection of his legacy. (Chapters 1062–1064, 1074)

Appearance and personality

The corpus does not establish Yvar’s hair, eyes, age, height, or royal clothing. His personality is documented through conduct: lustful, possessive, vindictive, and confident when protected by stronger subordinates. He treats wives and concubines as tools, pursues women who reject him, and assumes royal blood entitles him to obedience. When the Guardian withdraws and punishment becomes personal, his arrogance collapses into panic and pleading, revealing dependence rather than courage beneath the public authority. Founder’s bloodline and Guardian command

As crowned descendant of Fynn’s founder, Yvar can command the kingdom’s Supreme-ranked Golden Statue. The bond makes foreign conquest dangerous and supplies force far beyond Yvar’s demonstrated personal ability. It is not absolute: Lux carries a faint trace of the same bloodline, while the statue’s duty to the crown prevents it from fully betraying Yvar. Faced with conflicting legitimate commands and its own rejection of Yvar’s crimes, it freezes and ignores both sides. The crown therefore grants conditional command, not ownership of the Guardian’s will. (Chapter 1061)

Personal strength and limits

Magical chains used at the public punishment suppress Yvar’s skills and lower him to Grade-A Apostle strength, proving he normally stands above that level but not establishing his exact rank or combat school. No named personal attack succeeds in the corpus; in the throne room he issues orders to the Guardian and guards instead of fighting Lux directly. Once those resources are neutralized, he is helpless against the Doom Knights and later the execution, so his effective power is overwhelmingly institutional and bloodline-dependent.
