Dahlia is the Rowan Tribe’s High Priestess, the daughter of former High Priestess Quiana, and the mother of Cai and Rose. She welcomes her daughters’ chosen partners more readily than her husband does and represents a priestly tradition forced to continue after the gods fall silent.

Biography

Abyssal invasion and broken memories

Dahlia greets Cai with a close embrace and evaluates both daughters’ suitors during their return to the Ancestral Lands. She already knows of Cai’s engagement and studies Keane’s appearance and conduct after learning of Rose’s relationship, concluding that the quiet swordsman’s intentions are sincere. Unlike Liam, she does not demand dominance as proof of worth. After his test leaves Lux and Keane injured and nearly buried in ice coffins, Dahlia openly disapproves of the excess while taking satisfaction in how tenderly her daughters care for the wounded young men. As High Priestess, Dahlia also shares the tribe’s spiritual crisis. As the current holder of that office, Dahlia belongs to this healing tradition, though the cited chapters do not show her personally brewing or administering a named preparation.
