Andras

Andras is first the Demon Lord who invades Queen Rhiannon's Thirteenth Layer and later a distinct undead continuation made from his corpse. The original schemer dies after his alliance fails; Lux's Undead Generator subsequently turns the body into a bloodthirsty Vampire-Werewolf Strigoi under new command.

Biography

The Dragon kingdoms and the Abyss

Andras gathers thirty Demonic Legions to attack Queen Rhiannon, whom he failed to defeat fifty years earlier. His stated motive mixes conquest, sexual possession, and resentment. Although his strategist Jackal knows Andras has not surpassed Rhiannon, the Demon Lord secretly coordinates with Andrealphus, accepting the loss of his own troops so long as a sealing crystal and second Demigod leave Rhiannon vulnerable (Chapters 897–903, 906).

The plan initially works: Andras traps himself and Rhiannon inside a purple dome while Andrealphus enters the battle, intending to claim Rhiannon and her Succubi while surrendering the rest of the layer to his ally. Antero's arrival breaks the supposedly decisive barrier, compels Andras back through Duel, and crushes him. Rhiannon pierces his Abyssal Core and absorbs it, after which Blackfire swallows the corpse and Rhiannon annexes the Twelfth Layer (Chapters 906–910).

The rescue from the Abyss and the final war

Lux later uses Undead Generator on Andras's body, creating a Unique Strigoi rather than restoring the original Demon Lord's political agency. This sentient-combat identity is a Vampire-Werewolf killing machine that becomes faster and more vital by drinking victims' blood. It grows alongside Lux, reaches Demigod rank, assumes a bestial form, and fights Eligor's Demigods under Lux's direct command during Agartha's defense (Chapters 1099, 1136–1139).

The Strigoi's later record is defined by brutality rather than Andras's former schemes. His howl terrifies enemies as he massacres Abyssal forces, and he fights among the high tier of Lux's Named Creatures against the Golden Abominations. In the final merger, “Andras's brutality” becomes one of the qualities absorbed by Lux, converting the dead invader's body and aggression into strength used against the world-ending enemy (Chapters 1144, 1187, 1219).

Appearance and personality

The original Andras is a two-horned Demon whose eyes glow with power. He is arrogant, possessive, calculating, and willing to sacrifice entire legions for his private objective; even mortally wounded, he laughs at Rhiannon and spits at her feet. The recreated Strigoi is physically and psychologically different: a facelessly goal-driven Vampire-Werewolf whose defining trait is bloodthirsty brutality rather than courtly speech or rulership (Chapters 902, 906, 908, 1099, 1138).

Demon and Strigoi abilities

As an Abyssal Lord, Andras is a Demigod capable of fighting Rhiannon, threatening armies, flying, and using a prepared crystal to raise a purple prison that even her strongest attack cannot immediately break. The scheme still depends on Andrealphus's intervention and the barrier's integrity; Antero shatters it, uses Divine Duel to cancel Andras's escape, and leaves him unable to resist the destruction of his Abyssal Core (Chapters 902–908).

As a Strigoi, Andras is a fast, deadly Vampire-Werewolf whose blood consumption increases both power and vitality. He can transform into a bestial form, howl with supernatural malice, and slaughter massed enemies at close range. This body grows with Lux and reaches Demigod rank, but its role is specialized: it is a killing machine under its master's order, not the independent strategist and layer ruler the original Andras had been (Chapters 1099, 1137–1138, 1144).

Relationships

  • Queen Rhiannon: The original Andras covets and invades Rhiannon's realm. She ultimately destroys his core, absorbs its power, and takes his layer (Chapters 897, 906–910).
  • Antero: Antero destroys Andras's trump-card barrier, prevents his flight through Duel, and leaves him broken for Rhiannon's execution (Chapters 907–908).
  • Lux: Lux helps defeat Andras's invasion, claims the corpse through Blackfire, and later creates the Strigoi that serves among his Named Creatures (Chapters 908, 1099, 1136).
  • Jackal: Jackal is the original Demon Lord's second-in-command and strategist, obeying an invasion whose hidden justification Andras withholds from him (Chapters 902–906).
