Sylvia Evanail

Sylvia Evanail, formerly the Lady of the Golden Silk, is a baron's daughter whose attempt to seize Raviel Ivansia's promised future makes her an apostle of Mutia and eventually costs her place in her own world. The Lady of the Golden Silk played by Bambolina during the academy stage is a hunter immersed in Sylvia's role, not Sylvia herself. The actual Sylvia later surrenders, is summoned through Kim Gong-ja's Hundred Ghosts Reincarnation, and builds a new life as Grand Chamberlain of the Death King Family.

Biography

The heroine absent from her own role

Sylvia is introduced as Baron Evanail's daughter, one of two academy ladies granted an imperial epithet, and the romantic heroine whose affair with the crown prince threatens Raviel's engagement. Yet the Sylvia first seen onstage is Bambolina occupying her empty role while Kim Gong-ja occupies her nameless butler's. Their increasing immersion exposes Sylvia's emotions and memories without making either hunter identical to her. The distinction becomes essential when the original Sylvia later appears separately as an invading apostle. (Chapters 90–99, 107)

The absent woman had already lived through another history. After Raviel dismissed Sylvia's excited childhood attempt at friendship, admiration hardened into a need to make Raviel recognize her. Sylvia accepted Mutia's regression, captured the crown prince, became empress, and ruined the future that had belonged to Raviel. Her devoted butler then sacrificed his entire identity to Hamustra for another reversal, and Raviel's own wish trapped the restored world in a ten-day loop. Rivalry confronted and a body regained

Life as a summoned ghost leaves Sylvia dependent on Gong-ja's continuing skill and subject to Raviel's discipline, but it also gives her time to confront why she wanted Raviel's life. She admits that she once idolized Raviel and tried to share what she believed was a miraculous connection between their names. Raviel's cold dismissal made Sylvia feel less than human, so Sylvia turned courtship, imperial ambition, and even national ruin into ways to force a reaction. Raviel Ivansia apologizes for the contempt of her earlier self but refuses either to surrender her happiness or to erase Sylvia. Within the family, Sylvia remains abrasive, lazy, and openly resentful of chores, but her behavior increasingly contradicts the selfishness she performs. Appearance and personality

Sylvia is a young blonde noblewoman whose hair was carefully groomed when she lived as Baron Evanail's daughter. She first returns in a maid's uniform, later wears modern clothing when conducting business on the academy floor, and ultimately uses the Death King Family's chamberlain and gardener attire. Her composure still carries aristocratic confidence, but her speech is full of curses, complaints, theatrical self-praise, and barbed humor. (Chapters 91, 119, 235, 370, 382, 388)

She is vain, jealous, politically perceptive, and highly sensitive to being ignored. Those traits once made her pursue the crown prince, empire, and Raviel's ruin as proofs of worth. Her development does not replace them with meekness: she remains competitive and dreams of becoming the “lucky Sylvia.” What changes is what she does after feeling wounded. She can now accept correction, give practical advice, protect a companion from misplaced guilt, tend vulnerable flowers, and ask for another person's return without disguising the attachment as conquest. Mutia's blessing and apostle body

In the academy's prior history, Sylvia obtains regression from Mutia, the Ox that Harvests Ruins, by devoting her memory and body to the constellation. As Mutia's invading apostle she wields a massive hammer and possesses a body described as unscarred, unbreakable, and immortal. The blessing prevents ordinary injury, but does not prevent Shiny's Sword of Compassion from inflicting pain without damage; repeated pain breaks Sylvia's stance and strips away her confidence.
