Knight Killer
History
Jinwoo Sung purchased Knight Killer from the System shop after completing his job-change quest. At 2.8 million gold, it was a costly addition to his early arsenal, but its higher attack power and specialized effect immediately justified the expense.
Jinwoo carried it into the red gate and dual-wielded it with Kasaka’s Venom Fang against Barca. Once the boss fell, he paired Knight Killer with Barca’s Dagger instead. The combination remained useful through the high-orc dungeon and the upper floors of the Demon’s Castle. Its anti-armor design was particularly effective against Demon Monarch Balan, whose armor it could penetrate.
Knight Killer’s role diminished as Jinwoo obtained weapons of S-rank quality. It was eventually superseded by the Demon Monarch’s Daggers, which offered far greater attack power and a stronger paired-weapon bonus.
Properties and use
Knight Killer had an acquisition difficulty of B and granted 75 attack power. Its sturdy blade had a sawtooth profile designed to bite into armor instead of glancing away. The weapon’s passive effect, Kill the Knights, increased damage against armored opponents by 25 percent.
Although optimized for close combat, the dagger also suited Jinwoo’s flexible fighting style. He could throw it, redirect or retrieve it through telekinetic force, and alternate it with another dagger according to the target’s defenses. Its durability and armor bonus made it more dependable than its name suggested: it was not limited to literal knights, but benefited any fight against a protected foe.
Associated characters
Jinwoo was Knight Killer’s only known wielder. The purchase showed his growing willingness to invest System rewards in purpose-built equipment, and its long service bridged the gap between his early dungeon drops and his later S-rank weapons.
