Nature’s Ring

Nature’s Ring is Ying Xue’s named teleportation skill and the Fairy Realm’s sole known means of sending a non-Fairy out through its one-way ancestral barrier. Its long cooldown makes each activation a generational decision rather than routine transportation.

History

Banishment becomes an accidental escape

Ying Xue targets Ling Chen with Nature’s Ring after he enters the Fairy Realm. The skill locks on, counts down for ten seconds, and transports him five hundred kilometres away; because he is holding Cai’Er inside the effect, she is carried with him. The destination happens to lie along his route to Vermillion Bird City, saving weeks of travel even though Ying Xue intended only to expel an intruder. (Chapters 245–247)

The cost of returning Cai’Er

Ling Chen brings Cai’Er back, then learns that the surrounding barrier permits entry but blocks ordinary exit. Nature’s Ring cannot move Fairies themselves and can be used only once every hundred years, so Ying Xue’s recent activation cannot release him again. The clan’s inability to repeat the effect helps force a broader decision about the Fairy Realm’s isolation rather than allowing the skill to serve as a convenient personal gateway. Abilities and properties

• Long-range banishment: After a ten-second lock and countdown, the skill transports its target to a random point five hundred kilometres away. Nearby beings caught together can be moved in the same activation, as Cai’Er is while Ling Chen holds her. (Chapters 245–246)
• Barrier transit: Its teleportation can cross the Fairy Realm’s otherwise one-way ancestral barrier, making it the clan’s only stated non-destructive exit mechanism for outsiders. (Chapters 251–252)
• Fairy exclusion and cooldown: The skill is deliberately made ineffective on Fairies because a random destination could endanger them, and one use imposes a one-hundred-year wait. The corpus does not show a way to shorten that interval or choose the destination precisely. (Chapter 252)
