Yao Ying
Biography
Heart’s Dream and the First Guild
Yao Ying and Qian Mo are introduced together as the “Absolute Shadow Double Beauties,” a title reflecting how difficult they are to hit. Ling Chen trusts their efficiency enough to have them escort and level Ling Shui Ruo, expecting the pair to help her finish Novice Village within several days despite her limited daily playing time. (Chapter 137)
The Road South and the Fairy Realm
After Ling’s attack on the Long residence leaves him near death, Yao Ying and Qian Mo rush to treat him. Their assassin training includes detailed anatomical and emergency medical knowledge, developed both to kill efficiently and survive their own wounds; in Hell, they treated many of the group’s injuries. Their prognosis that Ling should wake that night helps steady the waiting Reapers. (Chapters 313–314, 316)
Calamity in the East Ocean Continent
Yao Ying’s role during this phase is mostly conveyed through other Reapers rather than direct action. She remains part of the close network around Ling, and Gui Ya describes her, Qian Mo, and Mu Bing Yao as having yearned for him for years. This report indicates personal attachment, but the cited passages do not establish a formal romantic relationship or a decision by Yao Ying herself. (Chapters 433, 492)
The Defense and Founding of Ling Tian City
When Tian Tian suddenly collapses, Yao Ying examines her and finds her ordinary physiological functions intact before investigating a possible neurological cause. A sophisticated instrument from the Mad Scientist produces a brain-capacity reading beyond its expected range; Yao Ying and Qian Mo initially conclude that the old device must be broken rather than claiming certainty about Tian Tian’s condition. (Chapters 510–512)
The Underworld and the Forgotten City
Yao Ying and Qian Mo assess Winter and Ice after their unusual physical changes. Their examination finds that the pair’s lifeforce is growing more vigorous, their senses remain intact, and their bodies are healthier than those of ordinary humans. Ling consequently continues to rely on Yao Ying for medical judgment as well as assigning her to close protective work. (Chapter 702)
The Moon God Palace and the Shura’s Return
Yao Ying stays beside Yun Meng Xin during her visit to the Yun family and repeatedly checks her after detecting Isrock Disease with advanced equipment. She notices that the disease’s activity is abnormal for a new infection. When Yun Feng tries to approach in distress, Yao Ying enforces quarantine by twisting his arm behind him and removing him from the room. (Chapters 704–706)
Appearance and personality
Yao Ying is a woman in her twenties and is paired closely with Qian Mo. She remains composed enough to make cautious medical judgments under pressure and firm enough to restrain a patient’s family member when exposure is dangerous. Reports of her long attachment to Ling come from others, so her own private intentions remain only partly documented. (Chapters 314, 492, 511–512, 706)
Abilities and powers
As a Reaper and one of the Absolute Shadow Double Beauties, Yao Ying is an elusive assassin with extensive knowledge of anatomy, trauma care, and survival medicine. She can conduct physiological and neurological examinations, use advanced diagnostic equipment, and physically restrain an unprepared adult. The corpus supplies no named combat technique or exact power ranking for her. (Chapters 137, 314, 510–512, 705–706)
Relationships
- Ling Chen is her master and a patient whose life she helps save; he later relies on her for medical assessment and protection assignments. (Chapters 313–316, 510–512, 702–705)
- Qian Mo is her regular partner in assassination, medical treatment, and protective work. Together they are known as the Absolute Shadow Double Beauties. (Chapters 137, 314, 510–512, 702–705)
- Ling Shui Ruo is entrusted to Yao Ying and Qian Mo for escort and levelling in the early game. (Chapter 137)
- Tian Tian and Yun Meng Xin are patients whose unusual conditions Yao Ying investigates with Qian Mo. (Chapters 510–512, 704–706)
Items
Yao Ying uses advanced medical instruments created by the Mad Scientist, including equipment capable of physiological testing and brain-capacity readings. These devices support her diagnostic work but are shared professional tools rather than a unique signature item assigned to her. (Chapters 511–512, 705)
