Biography

Heart’s Dream and the First Guild

Mu Bing Yao joins Heart’s Dream despite its tiny size and uncertain future, surprising members who know her as a cold, elite assassin. Her real reason is Ling Chen: she is one of the Reapers loyal to him from before Mystic Moon. She keeps that relationship concealed while supporting Yun Meng Xin, allowing the studio to gain an experienced protector without exposing Ling Tian’s identity. (Chapters 128–145)

Her reserve distinguishes her from Heart’s Dream’s openly enthusiastic members. Mu Bing Yao observes, trains, and accepts Ling Chen’s decisions without seeking attention. Meng Xin gradually recognizes that her presence is tied to him, but Mu still names the guild members as partners when its future becomes dangerous. This converts prior personal loyalty into responsibility for a group whose goals extend beyond her master. (Chapters 128–145, 185–194)

The Road South and the Fairy Realm

While Ling Chen travels south, Mu Bing Yao serves as the link between his expedition and real-world threats around the guild. She immediately reports Su’Er’s kidnapping, supplies the known route and circumstances, and helps trigger Ling Chen’s rescue. Her contribution is intelligence rather than the rescue itself, demonstrating how the Reapers’ watchfulness protects companions even when she is not the person who strikes the attacker. She also remains present when Heart’s Dream formally becomes a guild and supports Meng Xin despite the retaliation that decision invites. Unlike members who react with shock, Mu Bing Yao’s composure reflects experience with lethal organizations and Ling Chen’s unconventional plans. Calamity in the East Ocean Continent

During Ling Chen’s foreign campaign, Mu Bing Yao remains on the domestic side of his network. References to her identify a continuing intimate and operational bond among the Reapers he has sometimes avoided after trauma. She does not participate in the East Ocean battles, and the evidence gives her no remote influence over them. Her absence should not be converted into unrecorded missions or assistance. Her established in-game state is an assassin of exceptional human-player standing, feared as the Frozen Hearted Man-Eater. That reputation reflects speed, killing skill, and emotional coldness, but it does not make her comparable to the divine creatures Ling Chen faces abroad. The phase maintains her as a powerful protector awaiting the city crisis rather than inventing a parallel international campaign. (Chapters 433–436)

The Defense and Founding of Ling Tian City

Mu Bing Yao earlier receives the gravely wounded Ling Chen during his escape from the Long residence and passes him onward when his survival requires concealment. At the new city she answers Meng Xin’s call, stands among the outnumbered defenders, and remains behind to protect Meng Xin and Li Xiao Xue when other fighters enter the battle. Her presence alone deters ordinary attackers from approaching. (Chapters 512, 548–557)

She has fought the Sword Emperor before and uses that experience to recognize both Xuanyuan Dia Wu’s expanded Blade Spirit technique and its mental cost. When Dia Wu collapses from controlling swords, Mu explains that virtual stamina cannot protect real concentration. This judgment shows her as more than an assassin: she assesses allied limits accurately and ensures the city’s central figures remain protected while stronger specialists recover. (Chapters 555–560)

The Underworld and the Forgotten City

After Ling Tian City opens, Mu Bing Yao continues as one of Meng Xin’s close guards. She accompanies the city leader when the Forgotten Emperor presents fabricated charges, placing an assassin beside a negotiator facing hostile imperial power. Her role is deterrence and immediate protection; she does not replace Meng Xin as spokesperson or initiate the wider war. (Chapters 630–662)

Within Ling Chen’s household she coexists with Dia Wu and the other women attached to him. Her cold demeanor softens through continued belonging without disappearing, and she does not demand exclusive authority. The phase gives her no Underworld inheritance or NPC-grade transformation. Her effectiveness remains grounded in Reaper conditioning, disciplined service, and choosing the correct person to protect. (Chapters 655–700)

The Moon God Palace and the Shura’s Return

Mu Bing Yao is present in the real-world circle during Ling Chen’s later divine pursuits, attending his birthday with the household. Her cool arrival and quiet participation contrast with the scale of the Moon God Palace and Shura events occurring elsewhere. She functions as one of the people maintaining the home to which Ling Chen returns, not as an unseen participant in the palace raid. (Chapters 728–800)

The chapters do not reveal new assassin skills, higher grade, or independent command during this phase. That absence is a meaningful current limitation: proximity to Shura does not automatically elevate a Reaper to divine strength. Mu’s development remains social and protective, integrating long-standing loyalty into a family whose members know rather than conceal their connections to Ling Chen. (Chapters 728–800)

The Godchild Crisis and Qi Xing

When Rahu attacks, Mu Bing Yao rushes into the destruction with Dia Wu, Chao Ying, and Chao Xi after seeing Fey fail to injure him. The response is brave but militarily hopeless; a godly intruder could destroy an ordinary Reaper instantly. Mu survives through the larger intervention and displacement, not because her assassin abilities overcome Rahu’s defenses. (Chapters 801–814)

Qi Xing’s deception includes Mu among the loved ones Ling Chen believes dead. In reality she is transported to Xiya with the household and watches the catastrophe through the projection. Her apparent death helps break Ling Chen’s mind, while her actual survival later helps restore his human attachments. She remains a protected witness rather than a decisive combatant in the Quasi-God conflict. (Chapters 814–823)

Xiya and the Perfect Moon

Earth’s reversal returns Mu Bing Yao to the household’s birthday preparations, restoring the ordinary sequence erased by Extreme Shura. She resumes life beside Meng Xin, Dia Wu, and the others rather than retaining an independent memory of the destroyed timeline. The recovery preserves her chosen community and the protective purpose that once brought her into Heart’s Dream. (Chapter 841)

Years later, Ling Chen includes Mu Bing Yao among the partners for whom he arranges certificates, and Xiao Qi calls her out of Mystic Moon to receive the surprise. Her latest state is alive and acknowledged within the family. The corpus does not show a final Reaper evolution or retirement; she remains an elite human assassin whose influence depends on skill, loyalty, and Ling Tian City’s collective power. (Chapter 847)

Appearance and personality

Mu Bing Yao is an exceptionally beautiful young woman whose cold aura, pale presentation, and unreadable eyes suit the title Frozen Hearted Man-Eater. She moves with an assassin’s speed and economy and rarely displays surprise. Around Ling Chen and the household, the apparent absence of feeling gradually gives way to quiet concern rather than overt warmth. (Chapters 128–145, 548–560, 798)

She is disciplined, taciturn, loyal, and highly observant. Mu Bing Yao obeys Ling Chen as master but can independently report danger, protect Meng Xin, and interpret another expert’s exhaustion. She does not chase glory or exaggerate her strength. That restraint is central to her usefulness and also defines her limits against opponents whose power makes human assassination irrelevant. Abilities and powers

Reaper conditioning

As a Reaper, Mu Bing Yao possesses real-world assassination training, speed, stealth, perception, weapon skill, and tolerance for dangerous operations. These abilities transfer into Mystic Moon, where she plays an assassin and can deter ordinary fighters through reputation alone. Her conditioning is superhuman by common standards but remains below Fey, Ling Chen, and godly enemies. (Chapters 128–145, 512, 548–560)

Assassin combat

Her in-game combat emphasizes sudden approach, precision kills, evasion, and guarding vulnerable principals. The corpus does not give a complete named skill list or final numerical state, so exact cooldowns and damage mechanics are unknown. Relationships
