Mo'Er
Mo'Er is the natural item soul of Lachesis, a true godly artifact composed of three colored rings. She appears beside Fey as a pocket-sized girl who can sense minds and assume a battle form, but later revelations establish that Qi Yue is Lachesis’s true master and that Mo'Er’s deepest loyalty lies with her. (Chapters 675, 695, and 838–840)
Biography
The Underworld and the Forgotten City
Mo'Er first emerges from the three Lachesis rings when Fey calls for her help. She prepares to enter a destructive battle form during the defense of Ling Tian City, though circumstances repeatedly remove the need to attack. Fey later credits her with powerful detection of minds and hearts, using Mo'Er’s reading to support the conclusion that the Forgotten God Representative is acting under an abnormal influence. (Chapters 675, 681, 683, and 695)
Xiya and the Perfect Moon
After the planetary crisis, Mo'Er appears privately with Qi Yue and addresses her as master. She reluctantly swears never to reveal the truth behind Qi Yue’s actions, then returns with Lachesis to Fey and delivers the false explanation Qi Yue prepared. With her previously sealed power restored, Mo'Er uses spatial energy to travel between worlds, rules power to seal karma, and Sha Sha’s divine source energy to rewind Earth by nearly one day. The feat restores the planet but empties Mo'Er’s time energy for an estimated two thousand years. (Chapters 838 and 840–841)
Appearance and personality
In her ordinary manifested form, Mo'Er resembles a girl slightly older than ten while standing only twenty centimetres tall. Her eyes shine like stars, her skin is pale and flawless, and both her hair and dress combine red, yellow, and blue; she has bare feet. The colors correspond to the three Lachesis rings and their distinct domains. (Chapter 838)
Despite having existed for tens of thousands of years, Mo'Er has a childlike personality. She is affectionate, tearful at separation, proud of Lachesis’s capabilities, and easily excited when demonstrating them. Her obedience to Qi Yue forces her to lie convincingly to Fey and Ling Chen, so her later account of who moved the survivors, moon, and Sun God Orb is explicitly unreliable. (Chapters 838 and 840)
Abilities and powers
As Lachesis’s item soul, Mo'Er directs its spatial, temporal, and rules powers. She can transport people and celestial objects across immense distances, return herself and the rings to a recognized holder, detect minds and hearts, manifest separately from the rings, and enter an incompletely described pterosaur-like battle form. Her full strength becomes available only after an earlier seal is broken. (Chapters 675, 681, 695, and 840)
Her greatest shown feat combines all three domains. Mo'Er seals local karma to prevent duplicates and contradictions, then uses Lachesis and Sha Sha’s True God source energy to reverse Earth’s destruction. Alone she could rewind only a few minutes; nearly a day requires Sha Sha, leaves the latter exhausted for days, and consumes time energy that Mo'Er says will take at least two thousand years to recover. Space and rules power remain usable afterward. (Chapter 841)
Mo'Er is powerful but not independent of ownership and energy. Qi Yue can command her as Lachesis’s true master, while Fey is accepted as the new or apparent master to whom she returns. Mo'Er’s oath also constrains what she can disclose, meaning truthful perception does not guarantee truthful testimony. (Chapters 838 and 840)
Relationships
- Qi Yue: Mo'Er recognizes Qi Yue as her true, long-standing master and grieves when ordered to leave her. Qi Yue compels a severe oath of secrecy and scripts the lie Mo'Er later tells, but also entrusts her to a new master rather than destroying or abandoning her. (Chapters 838 and 840)
- Fey: Fey carries Lachesis and calls Mo'Er into the world during earlier crises. Mo'Er returns to her after Qi Yue’s departure and addresses her as master, while the narration clarifies that Fey is not the artifact’s true original master. (Chapters 675, 681, and 840)
- Ling Chen: Ling relies on Mo'Er’s instructions during Earth’s restoration and questions her about the crisis. She saves his world through time reversal but cannot tell him the truth about Qi Yue’s role. (Chapters 840–841)
- Sha Sha: Mo'Er needs Sha Sha’s divine source energy to rewind almost a full day. She explains the cost and karma rules before channeling the power, and accurately predicts that Sha Sha will need several days to recover. (Chapter 841)
Items
- Lachesis: Mo'Er is Lachesis’s naturally born item soul, not merely a companion who carries it. The red, yellow, and blue rings govern rules, time, and space, though the exact color-to-domain identification is established through their use across the corpus. Much of the artifact’s power was sealed until Qi Yue and Qi Xing’s assault accidentally removed the restriction. (Chapters 675, 838, and 840–841)
