Heart’s Dream and the First Guild

The Mad Scientist first appears through the altered people and technologies left behind by his experiments. Survivors describe a self-proclaimed human messiah who could cure Isrock Disease but used that knowledge to dominate test subjects, modify bodies, and pursue an idealized new humanity. His abilities make him invaluable to Instructor Hell’s organization and terrifying to children such as Ling Chen, whose escape does not erase years of conditioning. (Chapters 193, 217–218)

The Road South and the Fairy Realm

When Isrock again threatens Ling Shui Ruo, Ling Chen thinks of the Mad Scientist as the only human known to possess a cure. The scientist’s survival remains uncertain because the fugitives never confirmed his corpse, and his prior work continues through Ling Chen’s altered body and brain. The eventual revelation that Instructor Hell survived with further modification reinforces how the scientist’s experiments outlast direct contact with him. (Chapters 305, 308–310)

Calamity in the East Ocean Continent

Ling Chen’s ability to endure extreme cold during his East Ocean journey is partly a product of the Mad Scientist’s past conditioning in Heaven. The scientist does not personally intervene in the continental crisis, but the experiment demonstrates his method: expose a subject to lethal extremes, alter the body until it adapts, and leave permanent capabilities alongside trauma. This is evidence of biomedical engineering, not elemental magic. (Chapter 483)

The Defense and Founding of Ling Tian City

The Reapers retain sophisticated diagnostic equipment taken from the Mad Scientist, and its failure while examining Tian Tian shocks them because his devices are normally more advanced than terrestrial medicine. Ling Chen also explains that the scientist expanded and sealed his brain capacity, while other survivors recall the single experimenter behind their island ordeal. These remnants establish unparalleled technical reach but do not make every abnormal phenomenon intelligible to his tools. (Chapters 501, 511–512, 541)

The Underworld and the Forgotten City

Fey recounts using some of the scientist’s equipment and describes Instructor Hell as a half-cyborg saved and modified by him. A hidden exchange then reveals the scientist reporting to King about the Mystic Moon Plan, which harvests souls while he simultaneously conducts unauthorized experiments. His apparent autonomy is therefore limited: he is a brilliant architect within a larger Godchild project, monitored because his curiosity and private schemes make him unreliable. (Chapters 694, 698, 702.5)

The Moon God Palace and the Shura’s Return

The Mad Scientist’s medical instruments diagnose renewed Isrock cases and later confirm recovery, while Ling Chen measures extraordinary cures against the scientist’s former monopoly. During the Shura transformation, the mental restriction the scientist placed on Adam and Eve is finally shattered. This destroys an important mechanism of his posthumous control, but his machines and biological alterations remain active after his absence. (Chapters 705, 710–713, 751)

The Godchild Crisis and Qi Xing

Rahu and King explicitly refer to the Mad Scientist as dead and identify Ling Tian with the group responsible for killing him. Their conversation also reveals that he failed to communicate the cancellation of the Shura Plan before his death, allowing related schemes to continue under outdated assumptions. His work helped assemble the soul-harvesting Godchild crisis, but the surviving conspirators and Qi Yue repurpose or surpass it after he can no longer direct events. (Chapters 802, 805–807)

Xiya and the Perfect Moon

Even after his death, the infrastructure he created shapes access to the Mystic Moon planet. With Sha Sha’s help, the Li family produces new gaming equipment based on that model, while later revelations show Qi Yue manipulated the planet’s modification for her own plan. The scientist’s final legacy is therefore both technical and subordinate: humanity reuses his interface, but he was not the ultimate author of every event it enabled. (Chapters 843, 849)

Appearance and personality

The corpus emphasizes the Mad Scientist’s intellect, authority, and frightening presence more than a stable physical portrait. He is arrogant enough to call himself a god or messiah, contemptuous of ordinary humanity, relentlessly curious, and willing to inflict extreme suffering for experimental results. Even his allies distrust the independence that makes his innovations powerful. (Chapters 217–218, 305–310, 702.5)

Abilities and powers

Biotechnology and human modification

The scientist can cure or weaponize Isrock Disease, expand and seal mental capacity, alter vocal cords, harden bodies through drugs and conditioning, and rebuild a dying person as a cyborg. These feats depend on research, equipment, and experimentation rather than personal combat power. Some results are incomplete or unstable, and godchild biology can exceed his diagnostic assumptions. (Chapters 193, 217–218, 483, 501, 511–512, 698)

Mystic Moon and soul systems

He develops gaming interfaces and works on the Mystic Moon Plan’s large-scale soul harvesting. The technology is extraordinarily consequential, but he reports to King and operates inside a plan whose deeper direction is affected by Qi Yue. His death and failure to relay cancellation orders show that the system is neither wholly autonomous nor under his permanent control. (Chapters 702.5, 802–807, 843, 849)

Relationships

• Ling Chen is one of his most successful and traumatized subjects. The scientist expands Ling Chen’s capacity and resilience, but Ling Chen ultimately escapes and is identified with those who killed him. (Chapters 217–218, 308–310, 483, 501–512, 805)
• Ling Shui Ruo’s Isrock Disease makes the scientist’s cure a desperate possibility in Ling Chen’s mind, even though seeking him would revive the danger of Heaven. (Chapters 217–218, 305)
• Fey is another altered survivor whose sealed mental strength bears his control mechanism until Shura power destroys it. (Chapters 694–698, 751)
• Sha Sha later helps reproduce access technology derived from his work, separating its useful function from the coercive soul-harvesting plan. (Chapter 843)

Items

The Mad Scientist has no signature item assigned in the article ledger. His diagnostic devices and Mystic Moon interfaces are a body of technology rather than a single unique artifact, and many remain usable after his death. (Chapters 511–512, 705–713, 843)
