Biography

Heart’s Dream and the First Guild

The Demon Emperor first enters the story through Xi Ling’s imprisonment and the resurrection legend. He and the ten ancient demon beasts feared her rootless flames, attacked her, and kept her sealed for ten thousand years. By the present era he is already dead, yet his soul is named as the embodiment of utmost evil required alongside Moon Goddess blood, a Shura’s tears, and the Lunar Scourge to reverse death. (Chapters 160–163)

The Road South and the Fairy Realm

Ling Chen accepts the near-impossible task of gathering the Demon Emperor’s soul as part of his effort to revive Ling Shui Ruo. At this stage the emperor remains a historical dead ruler, and the ancient beasts guarding the route to his remnant are far beyond Ling’s strength. The goal therefore drives Ling’s search for more Lunar Scourge orbs rather than producing a direct encounter. (Chapters 350–351, 371)

Calamity in the East Ocean Continent

Ling learns that each ancient demon beast carries a Demon Jade Hook given by the former emperor and that the hooks contain or lead to fragments needed to summon his soul. The surviving beasts seek the Lunar Scourge for the opposite purpose: they believe combining it with all ten hooks will revive their ruler at many times his former strength and restore the Demon Beast Clan. The Defense and Founding of Ling Tian City

The ancient beasts continue trying to seize the Lunar Scourge while Ling accumulates their hooks. Their devotion is mixed with humiliation after ten thousand years of failure, and Ling exploits that despair against the Ice Demon Beast. By obtaining four hooks, he turns the clan’s planned resurrection mechanism into a route toward taking the emperor’s soul for his own resurrection objective. (Chapters 520, 522, 527, 631–632)

The Underworld and the Forgotten City

Later history clarifies the original Demon Emperor’s defeat. Xi Ling’s mother, the Golden Crow, destroyed much of the Demon Beast Clan and left soul-burning Flames of the Nine Suns within him; those flames killed him five years later despite his supreme durability. This establishes fire capable of attacking the soul as the decisive counter that ended his reign. (Chapters 676, 682)

The Moon God Palace and the Shura’s Return

After gathering the ten hooks, Ling uses water from the Underworld Blood Lake to summon the original emperor’s remnant soul. The soul resists being devoured but is absorbed by the Lunar Scourge and soon fused into the Fate-Defying Heavenly Orb. Later, many beings identical to the emperor in form, aura, and power invade from elsewhere; their simultaneous existence proves they are replicated Demon Emperors rather than the restored continuity of the original individual. Ling destroys the replicas, including those attacking the Moon Goddesses and major cities. (Chapters 749–750, 762–763, 776–781, 786–791, 796)

The Godchild Crisis and Qi Xing

Qi Yue reveals that the emperor’s remnant soul served as an acceptable substitute for the ancient-demon component of her resurrection method. It remains incorporated into the Fate-Defying Heavenly Orb rather than reviving him as a person. Later comparisons place a Demon Emperor far below the completed Shura, who can kill such an opponent in seconds. (Chapters 811–812)

Appearance and personality

The original Demon Emperor is remembered as a terrifying black-skinned figure with a savage, chilling presence and an aura strong enough to disturb surrounding space. His summoned remnant proclaims himself the eternal ruler of the Demon Beast Clan and fiercely resists absorption. Much of his characterization comes through the loyalty and fear of his followers rather than direct present-day action. (Chapters 763, 777, 786)

Abilities and powers

The Demon Emperor possesses Super Saint Destroyer-grade Darkness power comparable to one Moon Goddess. His aura and attacks can cover the sky in Darkness energy, while three replicated emperors together can overwhelm White Snow. The original survives the Golden Crow’s soul-burning flames for five years but cannot extinguish them, establishing a fatal weakness to that holy fire. (Chapters 676, 682, 786, 789–791)

His remnant soul can persist after bodily death and be reconstructed through the ten Demon Jade Hooks and Underworld Blood Lake water. That soul is unstable once captured and steadily weakens unless fused. The later mass replicas reproduce his power, but their shared appearance does not establish that any is the original consciousness. (Chapters 777–781, 786–791)

Items

The Demon Emperor gave one Demon Jade Hook to each ancient demon beast. Together, the ten hooks and Underworld Blood Lake water summon his remnant soul, after which they become ordinary black rocks. They are distributed ritual keys rather than retained personal equipment, and no separate item article is assigned to them. (Chapters 485, 527, 763, 777)
