Biography

The Road South and the Fairy Realm

Chao Xi and her twin Chao Ying establish the Su Hang refuge used by Ling Chen, arranging the villa and replacement identities through the local Reaper network. They entered Hell at roughly age three and do not know which sister is older. Chao Xi’s happiness at Ling Chen’s approval and her immediate response to his nighttime alarm show both a desire to please and ingrained readiness for danger. (Chapters 346–349)

Calamity in the East Ocean Continent

Chao Xi reports that the imprisoned Buggy remains alive and has not been tortured, providing Ling Chen with specific intelligence while he is abroad. The twins’ past is also clarified: neither remembers her original family after being molded into a killing machine, although residents identify them as daughters of Li Yun Ze. Chao Xi accepts that history without abandoning the Reapers or the household that now gives her a chosen home. (Chapters 432–433, 447–448)

The Defense and Founding of Ling Tian City

Chao Xi helps care for Tian Tian and jokingly suggests that Ling Chen may stay out with Su’Er, showing an ease far removed from her assassin conditioning. After Tian Tian’s unexplained collapse, she recalls the strange light the group saw and later pilots the jet back to Su Hang. The episode combines domestic warmth, careful witness testimony, and the practical transport skills learned in Hell. (Chapters 506, 510–513)

The Moon God Palace and the Shura’s Return

Chao Xi remains one of the guards whose presence should prevent any unnoticed approach to the villa. She and Chao Ying accept and relay medicine for Gu Qing Han, then join the household rushing to greet Ling Chen after his silence and absence. Her later role is rarely a solo mission; it is reliable security and support performed in coordination with her twin and other protectors. (Chapters 703, 713, 723, 746)

The Godchild Crisis and Qi Xing

Chao Xi follows the group outside when Rahu attacks, even after Fey’s failed strike demonstrates that ordinary combat cannot stop him. She assists the retreat, turns when Chao Ying cries out over Tian Tian, and later stares in disbelief when the girl petrifies Rahu. Chao Xi survives through the godchild intervention and subsequent displacement, not because her Reaper techniques approach the attacker’s power. (Chapters 801, 803–804, 814)

Xiya and the Perfect Moon

With the ruined timeline reversed, Chao Xi helps prepare Ling Chen’s birthday celebration in the restored household. At the later certificate gathering, she and Chao Ying initially remain at the side because years of service have taught them not to expect the same status as the other women. Their inclusion by the names “Li Chao Ying” and “Li Chao Xi” formally contradicts that self-effacement and recognizes both as family. (Chapters 841, 847)

Appearance and personality

Chao Xi shares Chao Ying’s long black hair, pale complexion, and graceful figure; their identical appearance and coordinated clothing make casual visual distinction difficult. She is loyal and observant but also playful enough to tease Tian Tian about Ling Chen’s absence. That humor coexists with disciplined restraint and the lethal habits created by a childhood in Hell. Abilities and powers

Reaper conditioning

Chao Xi received extensive assassin training from early childhood, including stealth, combat awareness, vehicle operation, and aviation. She can guard a residence or transport the household under pressure, and she works seamlessly with Chao Ying. No evidence gives her esper or divine abilities, so her effectiveness falls sharply against supernatural enemies beyond human scale. (Chapters 347–349, 492, 513, 801–804)

Security and transport

Her demonstrated duties include gathering intelligence, maintaining a safe house, monitoring vulnerable household members, and piloting a jet. These are operational strengths rather than a separate magical power system. Chao Xi can detect and respond to ordinary intrusion, but Sha Sha’s unexplained movements and Tian Tian’s awakening show that godchild phenomena can bypass her expectations. Relationships

• Chao Ying is Chao Xi’s identical twin and constant partner. Their shared training, uncertain birth order, and coordinated service make their identities closely intertwined without making them the same person. (Chapters 346–349, 432–448)
