Ivan is the Iron Lion, Kahn's father and an ambitious alliance leader whose revenge against Yeon-woo leads to defeat and suspended captivity.

Biography

Revenge creates the Lion Alliance's war

Ivan holds Yeon-woo responsible for the destruction of his clan and the loss of his son, so he assembles the Lion Alliance and targets Demon Beauty Castle. His forces attack Edora and leave her comatose, making the conflict personal on both sides. Although the Nine Kings treat him as expendable bait, Ivan accepts the position because he intends to turn the war into a vacant throne and prove that the Iron Lion deserves higher standing. (Chapters 332–341 and 406–419)

Pride survives defeat

Ivan attacks Blood Land and demands Yeon-woo's head, then uses Lion Mobilization in the resulting battle. Balnanta defeats him, and Yeon-woo captures him in chains rather than granting the immediate death Ivan expects. Even as a prisoner he remains proud and frames the war through his losses. Yeon-woo later keeps him unconscious within his shadow, while Kahn postpones facing the captive father whose choices helped destroy both of their families. (Chapters 417–421 and 452)

Appearance and personality

The scoped chapters emphasize Ivan's identity as the Iron Lion and a large-clan patriarch rather than supplying a stable detailed portrait. He is proud, wrathful, and intensely ambitious. Grief for Kahn and his fallen clan is genuine, but it narrows into revenge so completely that he attacks Edora and accepts being used by stronger political figures. (Chapters 409–421)

Abilities and powers

Ivan is a powerful sword fighter and commands Lion Mobilization, a signature technique that concentrates the Iron Lion identity into direct martial force. His leadership also lets him assemble multiple groups under the Lion Alliance. Neither advantage closes the gap to the highest combatants: Balnanta defeats him, and Yeon-woo can bind and store him in shadow while keeping him comatose. (Chapters 417–421 and 452)
