Gabriel

Gabriel is a free-spoken Seraph who descends as Malach's envoy for the revelations and is sacrificed when the society values its prophetic goal above her life.

Biography

An envoy becomes Malach's payment

Gabriel descends under Metatron's order, restrains Agares's disturbance, and offers to perform Yeon-woo's task in exchange for access to the revelations. When Yeon-woo requests the Fruit of Good and Evil, Agares identifies Gabriel herself as suitable material. She tries to leave and fights their restraints, but other envoys help overwhelm her. Metatron then banishes Gabriel, removing the causality that supports her incarnation; Yeon-woo's chains crush the merged body and soul into the Fruit of Good, completing Malach's implicit bargain. Appearance and personality

Gabriel appears as a woman with white wings and pure energy that blooms into rainbow colors. Her presence calms souls and restores health and magic power; when fighting seriously, hundreds of wings spread behind her. (Chapters 509–510)

She is confident, irreverent, and unusually casual for a great archangel, joking about Metatron and calling Yeon-woo “Master” because of her orders. Gabriel believes Malach will protect and avenge her, making the society's deliberate banishment a personal betrayal as well as a tactical sacrifice. (Chapters 509–511)

Abilities and powers

Rainbow light and water

Gabriel uses rainbow-colored light, waves of water, and cutting rain through powers named His Hero, Month of Aquarius, and Water of the First Month. The attacks tear space and demonstrate strength befitting a leading Seraph. They are nevertheless overwhelmed by Agares, Yeon-woo, and multiple envoys acting together, showing that her broad elemental output cannot defeat coordinated superior forces. (Chapter 510)

Incarnation, causality, and divine iron

Gabriel's lower-world form depends on laws of causality supplied through Malach. Once banished, the support vanishes and her true body is forcibly merged with the unstable incarnation. Divine-iron chains then absorb her holy power and prevent escape. This interaction is decisive: the sacrifice succeeds by stripping institutional protection and restraining divinity, not because Gabriel willingly transforms into the Fruit of Good.
