Duke Tuan Tien is Blood Land's mild-mannered prime minister, the calculating deputy who supplies the faction's strategy while concealing monstrous close-range power.

Biography

Courtesy conceals the search for Kalatus

Tuan Tien first appears as one of the two dukes guarding the Gluttony Emperor, outwardly expressionless and controlled. When Yeon-woo enters Blood Land's orbit, the duke greets him politely and negotiates over the map to Kalatus's grave. The courtesy is tactical: Tuan Tien wants the grave's secrets and uses the surrounding conflict, including the attack on Edora, to generate enough confusion to pursue his own route. (Chapters 318–321 and 406–416)

The labyrinth consumes its strategist

Tuan Tien enters the grave expedition confident that planning and Blood Land's force will let him seize the objective. The labyrinth instead divides the factions and overturns the advantages he arranged. He dies inside it, and the Guai Ruk Nan Shin associated with the fallen dukes transfers into Yeon-woo's Stone, giving his enemy a changing power later used to break Magnus's defense. Appearance and personality

Duke Tuan Tien appears mild-mannered and restrained, a contrast to the violence implied by the Monstrous Duke title. He speaks politely even while maneuvering against others and rarely shows emotion. In battle, that surface vanishes: his attacks are fierce and direct, demonstrating that civility is a strategic presentation rather than gentleness. (Chapters 318 and 406–414)

Abilities and powers

Tuan Tien can tear or distort space with a forceful hand attack, giving him dangerous close-range reach. He also carries the changing quality associated with Guai Ruk Nan Shin, though the later transfer means Yeon-woo—not the dead duke—demonstrates some of its most important applications. His strength does not negate environmental risk; the grave's labyrinth prevents planning from guaranteeing escape. (Chapters 410–427)
