Vashter

Vashter is a veteran feshkur aboard the Trampling Ram. He helps defend the ship, survives the Hounds' attack, and later returns with the crew to support Jack and Brock in their campaign against the Animal Kingdom.

Biography

A veteran of the Trampling Ram

Vashter first challenges Jack after Dordok introduces him as one of the ship's fighters. Jack accepts the challenge, and Vashter's crew role becomes clear during the space-monster attack: he joins the defense on the hull, is badly injured, and later supports Bomn when Dordok is left behind. Vashter trusts Bomn to carry the captain's responsibility and is relieved when the crew reunites with Dordok. (Chapters 110–123, 315, 323)

Vashter remains with the Trampling Ram through the later fight against the Animal Kingdom. He carries a mace and speaks with the confidence of an experienced veteran. When Jack's companions rally to face the Kingdom, Vashter joins them; after Jack returns to Earth, he stays with Bomn and the ship to assist the constellation. (Chapters 443–445, 450, 455, 460–461)

Appearance and personality

Vashter is a feshkur, the species shared by the Ram's crew. He carries a mace and presents himself as a seasoned fighter, often tempering the crew's excitement with practical advice. He is loyal to his captain and crew. (Chapters 111–112, 444)

Abilities and cultivation

Vashter fights with a mace and serves as one of the Trampling Ram's defenders. His formal rank and the mechanics of his powers are not established in the scenes focused on him. (Chapters 118–120, 444)
