Bomn
Bomn is the Trampling Ram's minotaur crewman, valued for his strength and loyalty. After Captain Dordok is captured, Bomn takes the helm, helps preserve the crew, and eventually becomes captain of the ship.
Biography
From crewman to captain
Bomn welcomes Jack aboard the Trampling Ram and helps him settle in, sharing rope for a hammock and treating him as a crewmate. When space monsters attack, Dordok trusts Bomn to take the helm while the others defend the ship. Bomn fights on the vessel's exterior, then recovers from severe injuries after the crew's escape. When Dordok is left behind during the Hounds' attack, Bomn accepts responsibility for the ship and its survivors. (Chapters 112–114, 117–123)
Bomn later reunites with Dordok and the crew, then joins their campaigns against the Animal Kingdom. He fights with a greataxe and earns the title “Bomn the Destroyer.” As Jack and Brock's conflict with the Kingdom escalates, Bomn and Vashter remain with the Trampling Ram to help the constellation rather than follow Jack back to Earth. The crew's decision marks Bomn's transition from a trusted sailor to the ship's captain and a leader in the resistance. (Chapters 315, 323, 433–445, 450, 455–461)
Appearance and personality
Bomn is a large, horned minotaur with brown fur and a powerful build. He is a steady crewmate who acts decisively in a crisis: Dordok gives him the helm during the monster attack, and Vashter later expresses confidence in him after Dordok is captured. (Chapters 112, 118–123)
Abilities and cultivation
Bomn fights with a large greataxe and can operate the Trampling Ram. His combat rank and the mechanics of his abilities are not established in his scenes; his demonstrated contribution is strength, ship handling, and dependable command under pressure. (Chapters 118–119, 433–444)
