Enas
Enas is an Old God who creates life and later reveals that his central motive is his own survival. After his siblings imprisoned him in a black hole, he used soul fragments to seed clones such as the Sage and manipulate the Black Hole Church’s plans for his release. He returns as an S-Grade being and attempts to purge all mortal life before Jack kills him. (Chapters 283–284, 536–560)
Biography
Creator of Life
In the Church’s historical vision, Enas is the first Old God to use his power to create life. He prepares a planet, makes its oceans, and breathes the first spores into it, then leaves them to evolve. The account describes Enas as a creator who regards the organisms as one continuing, changing creature rather than as individuals who can die. He later returns to speak with the Ancients and introduces them to the Dao, which at that time the Old Gods alone could access. (Chapters 283–284)
The later account from Axelor complicates the Church’s image of Enas as a loving father. Axelor says the other Gods feared that Enas was raising mortal creations as soldiers who could suppress or consume them, and that their fear led them to imprison him in the black hole. Enas gives a self-interested version after his release: being isolated from the other Gods let him develop a stronger individuality, and he identifies himself as the God of Survival. The Church’s fatherly creation myth contrasts with Enas’s more calculating view of his work. (Chapters 536–557)
The Soul Fragments and the Church’s Plan
While imprisoned, Enas splits his soul and shatters part of it into countless Life-Dao-infused fragments. These fragments seep out from the black hole and search for compatible bodies; one merges with the future Sage soon after his birth. The Sage grows up as a separate individual whose body carries the fragment, not as Enas living under another name. The distinction matters to the Church’s plan: the Sage’s life and soul are used as a means of reaching the true Enas. (Chapters 477, 536)
Enas later says that his presence near System space let him distribute clones like the Sage and guide events so the other Gods would eventually need to reunite with him. The Church believes it is reviving a benevolent creator, but Enas uses its sacrifices to secure his own release and greater power. When he is freed, he occupies the Sage’s body; that change does not erase the difference between the Sage and the original God whose fragment entered him. (Chapters 536–557)
Release, Fusion, and the Attempted Purge
After the green soul fragment enters the Sage’s body, Enas’s power rises from early A-Grade to the level of an Archon. He joins with Axelor and the other Gods in a fusion that reaches S-Grade. The Sage’s voice speaks during the fusion, and the resulting figure claims to be the God of All “except it is me”; Enas later explains that he consumed the other Gods rather than merely merging with them. The exact continuity of the Sage’s consciousness is uncertain; the hostile figure who confronts Jack is identified as Enas in the Sage’s appearance and body. (Chapter 557)
Enas rejects the Church’s expectation of a loving savior. He says he will purge all life except his own because mortals may someday threaten him. He kills scores of the Church’s strongest cultivators, traps the survivors in a life-energy web, and freezes Jack to attack his soul and seize his body. He also reveals that he had corrupted the copy of Jack living inside the Life Drop, which let him watch Jack and prepare the takeover. Jack withstands the soul attack and fights Enas across a shattered universe. In the final clash, Jack’s Big Bang and Fist of the Universe destroy Enas completely; the narration says not a single piece of him remains and that the twelve Gods are destroyed. (Chapters 557–560)
Appearance and personality
As an Old God, Enas is associated with a green life aura. After his release he appears in the Sage’s body, wearing dirty clothes with disheveled hair and yellowed teeth. The aura carries hints of darkness, and the narration describes his expression as cold and predatory. He is calculating and entirely focused on survival; he regards mortals as tools or toys and dismisses their lives as insignificant. (Chapters 283, 557–560)
Powers and limitations
Enas is the God of Life, though he later says he is more accurately the God of Survival. His power can create and direct life, alter bodies, manipulate soul energy, and overwhelm other cultivators through the scale and quality of his Dao. After absorbing the other Gods, he wields their Daos as well, while favoring Life. His S-Grade power initially makes the universe’s Archons and lower-grade cultivators helpless against him, but Jack’s new Dao ultimately surpasses Enas’s defenses. (Chapters 283–284, 557–560)
Creation and manipulation of life
Enas’s original act is to create life on a prepared planet and leave it to develop. In combat, he uses life energy as both attack and intrusion: beams regenerate as they enter an opponent, while subtler energy grows tumors in Jack’s organs and drives destructive, uncontrolled evolution. Enas can also exert control over bodies and souls; after merging with the Gods, he immobilizes Jack and attacks his identity to take control of his body. These effects are powerful but not automatic victories. Jack uses his understanding of biology and the Dao of Life to purge or reverse Enas’s hostile changes, and his will withstands the attempt to overwrite his soul. (Chapters 283, 557–560)
S-Grade power and absorbed Daos
The fusion in Chapter 557 elevates Enas beyond the Archon realm into S-Grade. His aura alone overwhelms the gathered cultivators, and his green web counters their attacks by imposing the combined quality and quantity of his Daos. He says he has absorbed the Daos of his siblings, including Axelor’s Entropy, though he favors Life. His power can alter a universe-scale battlefield and destroy the Heaven Immortal with one attack. The full limits and costs of Enas’s S-Grade power are unknown. Jack’s newly born Dao of Time and combined creation-destruction attack pierce his defenses and destroy him. (Chapters 557–560)
Power progression
| Stage / Realm / Ability | Chapter(s) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| S-Grade | 557 | Enas occupies the Sage’s body and fuses with Axelor and the other Gods, consuming rather than simply merging with them. The resulting being reaches S-Grade; the Sage’s consciousness within the body is not resolved. |
