Zhou Wutai
Zhou Wutai is a large-eared Four Sect Alliance cultivator who befriends Wang Lin while seeking his own Soul Formation domain, then inherits the Green Dragon line and becomes the fifteenth Suzaku. His later rule is defined less by expansion than preservation: he protects Zhao, Wang Lin's family home, and the people left behind on planet Suzaku. (Chapters 263–275, 430–472, 888–901, and 1570–1579)
Biography
The master-and-disciple domain
Near Soul Formation, Zhou Wutai enters the mortal world with a disturbing plan for comprehending a domain. He raises a disciple with genuine affection while expecting the disciple's natural death to create the sorrow needed for his master-and-disciple domain. Wang Lin sees through the design. Their meeting develops into mutual recognition as each studies how the other turns mortal experience into cultivation rather than merely exchanging techniques. (Chapters 263–268)
Zhou Wutai visits Wang Lin's carving shop, tests the domains within his carvings, and refuses the especially tempting Passing of Time carving because taking another person's answer would compromise his own path. He warns Wang Lin about the Four Sect Alliance's coming war with Xue Yue and sends information by jade. When threatened by a late Nascent Soul cultivator, his partly formed domain is already sufficient to kill the opponent. (Chapters 266–277)
Succession as Suzaku
His Green Dragon bloodline makes Zhou Wutai one of the candidates in planet Suzaku's succession struggle. After Zhuque Zi's death and the upheaval around the Cultivation Planet Crystal, Zhou Wutai ultimately inherits the crystal and becomes the fifteenth titled Suzaku. The appointment turns a contemplative cultivator into the political and spiritual custodian of an entire cultivation planet. (Chapters 430–472)
A guardian who preserves
During an overwhelming divine-sense assault, Zhou Wutai resists through the crystal and his bloodline's green light. He also helps Zhou Ru barely reach Soul Transformation so that she can leave the planet. More than a millennium later, he tells the returned Wang Lin that he required Zhao to remain unchanged through Suzaku's transformation. He has preserved wine, Wang Lin's parents' tomb, the old home, and even Red Butterfly's soul formation while honoring his promise to a disciple who eventually died a mortal death. (Chapters 888–901 and 1570–1579)
Appearance and personality
Zhou Wutai is consistently marked by unusually large ears and is often relaxed enough to drink with friends. Beneath that sociability is patience and moral tension: his original domain plan uses anticipated grief as cultivation material, yet he forms real attachments, refuses stolen comprehension, keeps promises across centuries, and shapes his rule around protecting places meaningful to others. (Chapters 263–268 and 1570–1579)
Abilities and cultivation
Master-and-disciple domain
Zhou Wutai's first major path toward Soul Formation is a domain built from the bond between master and disciple. It requires lived attachment and the grief of separation rather than a memorized spell. Even before complete formation, it can overwhelm a late Nascent Soul opponent. Its weakness is also ethical and emotional: forcing the anticipated loss may produce insight, but it binds his progress to another person's mortality. (Chapters 263–268)
Green Dragon bloodline
The Green Dragon inheritance qualifies him for Suzaku succession and manifests as protective green light under pressure. It gives him legitimacy and defensive resilience rather than making him invulnerable. During the later divine-sense attack he still depends on the interaction between bloodline protection, planetary authority, and the Cultivation Planet Crystal. (Chapters 430–472 and 888–901)
Cultivation Planet Crystal and authority
As the fifteenth Suzaku, Zhou Wutai can use the Cultivation Planet Crystal and direct the transformation and governance of planet Suzaku. This is both an artifact-based power and an office: it lets him protect the planet and assist cultivators such as Zhou Ru, while his decree preserves Zhao against broader changes. The authority does not place his personal cultivation on the level of the later realm-war powers. (Chapters 888–901 and 1570–1579)
