Yi Xing

Master Yi Xing is the title of Zhen Xinghan, Master Yi Chen's third sworn brother and the weakest of Planet Water Spirit's three senior brothers. He helps host Wang Lin, protects the planet with a shared formation, and joins the later expedition into the Rain Celestial Realm's caves. Some passages render his title as “Yi Xiang,” but the surrounding references identify the same third brother. (Chapters 965, 991, and 1005–1007)

Biography

Planet Water Spirit

Yi Xing participates in the brothers' effort to resolve their misunderstanding with Wang Lin and welcomes him to Planet Water Spirit. A casual comparison between the planet's erratic weather and an eccentric cultivator's changing personality unexpectedly helps Wang Lin interpret clues about the All-Seer and Bai Wei. Yi Xing does not know the importance of his remark, but it becomes the trigger for Wang Lin's deduction. (Chapters 965–966 and 981)

During Wang Lin's long contemplation of sunrise, Yi Xing suggests that such prolonged comprehension by a Nirvana Cleanser cultivator must concern a powerful spell. He also reports that anyone approaching within one hundred feet is pushed away after three steps. Yi Chen and Yi Long refine the interpretation toward dao comprehension, and the brothers continue observing without interference. (Chapter 987)

When Situ Nan demands Ling Er and Zhao Xue, Yi Xing and his brothers are injured by the spell in his voice. Each activates a black token, building three layers of defense around Planet Water Spirit. (Chapter 991)

Celestial cave expedition

Yi Xing joins Wang Lin's group in the celestial caves. In battle, he redirects a celestial soldier toward Yi Long while the group protects the silver corpse's absorption of flower spirits. A Flower Celestial's glance later wounds him so badly that blood pours from his body and he falls to cultivate immediately. He survives the scene, but his later fate is not supplied. (Chapters 1005–1007)

Appearance and personality

Yi Xing is a purple-robed, middle-aged man. He is respectful toward stronger cultivators and intellectually curious, offering interpretations even when he does not yet understand a phenomenon. He works closely with his sworn brothers and responds immediately when their planet is threatened. (Chapters 965–966, 987, and 991)

Abilities and cultivation

  • Early-stage Nirvana Scryer: Yi Xing is explicitly the weakest of the three brothers and is at the early Nirvana Scryer stage. His second-step cultivation still lets him contend briefly with celestial soldiers of comparable physical power. (Chapters 965 and 1005–1006)
  • Spiritual observation: He detects the invisible boundary around Wang Lin's sunrise comprehension and measures how it repels anyone who approaches. He initially interprets it as a powerful spell rather than fully identifying the dao phenomenon. (Chapter 987)
  • Planet-protection formation: His black token supplies one of three defensive ripples enclosing Planet Water Spirit. It functions only as part of the brothers' coordinated protection and is not shown defeating Situ Nan. (Chapter 991)
  • Combat control: Yi Xing can seize and throw a celestial soldier toward Yi Long during a coordinated battle. He is nonetheless helpless before the Flower Celestial's mental pressure, which severely injures him with one glance. (Chapters 1005–1007)

Relationships

  • Ling Er: Ling Er is Yi Chen's granddaughter and belongs to the household Yi Xing helps defend when Situ Nan demands that she be handed over. (Chapters 965 and 991)
  • Wang Lin: Yi Xing helps welcome Wang Lin, inadvertently supplies a clue about the All-Seer, observes his dao comprehension, and later joins his expedition. (Chapters 965–966, 981, 987, and 1005–1007)
  • Yi Chen: Yi Chen is Yi Xing's eldest sworn brother. They govern Planet Water Spirit and activate its protection together. (Chapters 965, 981, and 991)

Items

  • Black protection token: One of the three single-use tokens used to create layered protection around Planet Water Spirit. (Chapter 991)
