Yi Long
Master Yi Long is the title of Liu Yulong, Master Yi Chen's second sworn brother and one of the three senior cultivators who govern Planet Water Spirit. He helps turn an initial misunderstanding with Wang Lin into hospitality, defends the planet against Situ Nan, and later accompanies Wang Lin into the Rain Celestial Realm's caves. (Chapters 965, 981, and 991–1007)
Biography
Receiving Wang Lin
Yi Long receives Wang Lin together with Yi Chen and Yi Xing after the brothers' earlier fault. He downplays his own title, invites Wang Lin to use Planet Water Spirit for cultivation, and joins his brothers in treating him as an honored guest without prying into the events outside Ghost Eye City. Yi Long also introduces his disciple Zhao Xue to Wang Lin. (Chapters 965 and 981)
When Wang Lin spends months comprehending sunrise, Yi Long studies the phenomenon from a distance. He recognizes that the force preventing entry appears to come from the world itself and agrees that Wang Lin may be comprehending dao. He watches rather than interrupting, hoping the observation may benefit the brothers' own cultivation. (Chapter 987)
Defending Planet Water Spirit
Situ Nan arrives and demands Ling Er and Zhao Xue. Yi Long and his brothers are injured by the power contained in his voice, then activate three black tokens. The tokens produce three layers of a planet-wide protective barrier. The defense cannot threaten Situ Nan, but it demonstrates the brothers' coordinated guardianship of their home and disciples. (Chapter 991)
Celestial cave expedition
Yi Long later joins Wang Lin's expedition and fights celestial soldiers whose bodies can contend with Nirvana Scryer cultivators. He temporarily holds off two soldiers so Yi Xing can redirect another. A Flower Celestial's single glance subsequently pierces his mind and leaves blood pouring from his body; he falls and immediately begins cultivating to stabilize himself. He is alive at that point, but the corpus does not document his later fate. (Chapters 1005–1007)
Appearance and personality
Yi Long is a green-robed old man. He is courteous and quick to reduce tension with Wang Lin, perceptive when studying an unfamiliar dao phenomenon, and protective of Planet Water Spirit. His deference does not prevent him from fighting when his home or companions are threatened. (Chapters 965, 981, 987, and 991)
Abilities and cultivation
- Second-step cultivation: Yi Long is explicitly stronger than Yi Xing, who is at early Nirvana Scryer. Later detection of two early Nirvana Cleanser defenders on Planet Water Spirit is consistent with Yi Long and Yi Chen, though the introductory passage does not independently name Yi Long's exact substage. (Chapters 965 and 991)
- Dao perception: He senses that the pressure around Wang Lin's sunrise comprehension is produced by the world itself and compares entering it to facing a roaring sea. This is perceptive analysis, not a named spell of his own. (Chapter 987)
- Planet-protection formation: His black token supplies one of three rippling layers around Planet Water Spirit. The barrier requires coordinated activation by all three brothers and is not presented as an invincible personal defense. (Chapter 991)
- Close combat and restraint: Yi Long can engage multiple celestial soldiers whose physical power reaches the Nirvana Scryer level. He holds them temporarily rather than destroying them, and the Flower Celestial's glance later incapacitates him. (Chapters 1005–1007)
Relationships
- Wang Lin: Yi Long helps welcome Wang Lin to Planet Water Spirit, observes his dao comprehension, and later fights beside him in the celestial cave expedition. (Chapters 965, 981, 987, and 1005–1007)
- Yi Chen: Yi Chen is Yi Long's eldest sworn brother. The two govern and defend Planet Water Spirit together. (Chapters 965, 981, and 991)
- Lei Ji: Lei Ji travels with Wang Lin and is present during Yi Long's later expedition, but the corpus does not establish a separate personal relationship between them. (Chapters 981 and 1007)
Items
- Black protection token: One of three single-use tokens whose destruction creates layered barriers around Planet Water Spirit. (Chapter 991)
