Yao Xixue

Yao Xixue is the Blood Ancestor's daughter, a blood-spell specialist whose secret expedition becomes a contest of deception with Wang Lin. Her later fusion with the wind demon is not a resurrection as the same autonomous combatant: an external demonic memory uses her soul and body until Wang Lin removes it and releases Yao alive but without her memories. (Chapters 515–570, 708–771, and 998–1037)

Biography

Watching Wang Lin

Yao Xixue enters the Demon Spirit Land under orders from her father to observe the All-Seer's newest disciple. She appears composed and privileged, riding blood-red jade and carrying techniques unavailable to ordinary expedition members. Rather than attack immediately, she studies Wang Lin and assesses whether his restrictions can help her enter a hidden inheritance site that she has repeatedly failed to penetrate alone. (Chapters 515–550)

She proposes cooperation using celestial jades and what she presents as a Blood Soul Pill. Wang Lin notices the pill is counterfeit, while Yao Xixue conceals the true pills that have already allowed her to survive failed attempts. Their partnership therefore begins as mutual exploitation: she needs his restriction skill, and he needs access to the cave, but neither accepts the other's stated terms at face value. (Chapters 550–558)

Sealing and the Blood Ancestor's pursuit

The hidden route demands eighteen rotating restrictions. Yao Xixue has solved eleven, yet the remaining seals and the gap below Ascendant cultivation prevent her from completing the sequence safely. Conflict with Wang Lin leaves her sealed for centuries, and her disappearance draws the Blood Ancestor into a prolonged hunt. Her bags, formations, and the disputed pill become leverage in a feud much larger than the temporary alliance she intended. (Chapters 608–659 and 708–771)

Wind-demon fusion and release

Much later, a wind demon's memory fuses with Yao Xixue's soul and body through their shared hatred. The fusion possesses late Nirvana Scryer strength and ancient-demon wind methods, but the demon itself distinguishes its memory from Yao and regrets the enemy she provoked. Wang Lin removes the demonic energy and foreign memory rather than simply killing the host. Yao is restored without her memories and released alongside the surviving soul of her father, so the latest supported status is alive, not killed. (Chapters 998–1037)

Appearance and personality

Yao Xixue is a slim, white-robed young woman with long black hair, a pale face, and narrow red phoenix eyes. She is cool, watchful, and accustomed to hiding advantages behind controlled offers. Fear surfaces when Wang Lin sees through her plans, but she repeatedly returns to calculation rather than surrender. The later wind demon's rage should not be treated as a complete statement of Yao's own personality. (Chapters 515–558 and 998–1037)

Abilities and cultivation

Blood Soul Pills and rebirth logistics

Yao Xixue understands the true Blood Soul Pill because she has used several during failed attempts. A genuine pill carries an imprint tied to the user's flesh and origin soul; on death it can replace the body and allow reconstitution at the prepared point. It is not an ordinary healing pill to swallow in battle, and counterfeit versions cannot reproduce that result. Her supply is finite, making each failed seal costly and explaining why she seeks Wang Lin's help. (Chapters 550–558)

Blood formations and restrictions

She uses blood-red jade, blood statues, compass-like transfer methods, concealment formations, and blood spells taught through her father's lineage. The formations can hide a mountain from divine sense and move her through prepared blood points. Her restriction knowledge reaches eleven of the eighteen rotating seals, a substantial achievement, but failure at later layers is lethal and her pre-Ascendant cultivation cannot force the inheritance open. (Chapters 515, 550–558, and 708–771)

Wind-demon powers are not native abilities

During the later fusion, the body displays law-of-wind speed, demonic energy, phantoms, and late Nirvana Scryer force. These belong to the wind demon memory acting through Yao Xixue, not to her original blood-spell cultivation. Wang Lin can strip away that foreign layer; once it is removed, neither those powers nor the demonic memories remain available to her. (Chapters 998–1037)

Relationships

  • All-Seer: Yao's father orders her to watch the All-Seer's newly accepted disciple, which directs her attention toward Wang Lin. (Chapter 517)
  • Greed: Both participate in the Demon Spirit Land competition around hidden caves and the Tide Abyss, though their goals remain separate. (Chapters 632–651)

Items

  • Blood Soul Pill: Yao carries genuine pills, uses several to survive failed attempts, and tries to pass a counterfeit to Wang Lin. (Chapters 550–558)
