Xi Zifeng

Xi Zifeng is an Allheaven cultivator rescued by Wang Lin during the collapse of the Thunder Celestial Realm. Her admiration becomes an enduring, largely unreturned love that survives family ruin, disfigurement, war, and eight centuries of separation. (Chapters 798–801, 866–920, 1487–1490, and 1668–2081)

Biography

Rescue and admiration in Allheaven

Xi Zifeng first reaches Wang Lin's celestial fragment while escaping the collapsing Thunder Celestial Realm with two companions. She recognizes him as the senior who has already saved her twice, pays the requested celestial-jade passage, and helps fight through the Thunder Celestial Temple messengers guarding the escape formation. Wang Lin's ability to lead the trapped cultivators out fixes “Xu Mu” in her memory. At the later competition for the celestial title, she watches him despite knowing that her feelings may never reach him. Her earlier ambition had been to emulate her ancestor and cultivate to the heavens without considering pair cultivation, but the rescue changes that certainty. When Wang Lin enters the thunder trial, she publicly gives him a green jade that can defend against powerful thunder, sacrificing an important personal defense. Seeing that his true purpose is to save Li Muwan's Nascent Soul devastates her, yet she neither attacks his choice nor demands repayment. (Chapters 798–801 and 866–881)

War, repeated rescue, and the fall of the Xi family

During the war in the Alliance Star System, Xi Zifeng is separated from her family, injured, and pursued by cultivators who intend to make her a cultivation furnace. Wang Lin's law-filled command drives the attackers back and destroys those who cannot withstand it. When Zhou Tian targets her to manipulate him, Wang Lin intervenes again, kills the shadows approaching her, and declares that no one may kill her in front of him. She follows his group afterward and later protects a statue of “Xu Mu” from an arrogant Allheaven cultivator. The following eight centuries are far harsher. The Xi family collapses, former admirers and opportunists exploit her weakness, and Xi Zifeng destroys her own appearance rather than submit. Reduced to Corporeal Yang and pressed into Thunder Celestial Temple labor, she repeatedly tears her origin soul loose from cultivation planets so others can move them for war preparations. The work accumulates injuries that ordinary healing cannot repair. (Chapters 918–920, 1111, and 1487–1488)

Reunion, inheritance, and one requested year

Wang Lin finds Xi Zifeng while a Temple messenger is forcing her to move another planet. Ashamed of her scars, she denies her own identity, but Wang Lin recognizes her, kills the abusive messenger, heals her origin soul, and restores her face. He offers a different bond by accepting her as a third disciple. When she kneels, he raises her from Corporeal Yang through Nirvana Scryer to Nirvana Cleanser, seals the transferred power so she can digest it safely, and gives her a blood sword as a life treasure. Years later, after the Inner Realm's war, Xi Zifeng rejects remaining only his disciple and asks for one year beside him while he guards the realm. Wang Lin finally agrees. She spends that year warming wine inside his defensive formation while vast armies attack outside, leaves when the promised time passes, and entrusts the wine to the next visitor. At the end of the corpus, Wang Lin's passing divine sense leaves her a jade containing his voice; she recognizes the aura and smiles after hearing it. (Chapters 1489–1490, 1668–1676, and 2081)

Appearance and personality

Xi Zifeng is originally described as a very beautiful woman, even more striking than Zhan Yun. After eight hundred years, time and deliberate disfigurement leave deep gully-like scars across her face and make her appear older; Wang Lin later removes the scars, restoring her familiar features while leaving the maturity of age. She is reserved, persistent, and self-sacrificing. Embarrassment makes her lower her head or bite her lip, but she repeatedly acts despite fear—giving away protection, enduring dangerous labor, and finally stating exactly what she wants from Wang Lin. (Chapters 798, 866–871, 1487–1489, and 1668)

Abilities and cultivation

Corporeal Yang foundation and defensive spell

By the era of the planet-moving campaign, Xi Zifeng is explicitly a Corporeal Yang cultivator. Earlier, while injured and pursued, she forms a seal that produces silver light to intercept a stronger enemy's golden needle. The defense makes contact but cannot overcome the attack; the impact causes her to cough blood and retreat. This gives her a functional defensive spell without implying parity with Nirvana-stage opponents. In large battles she can join Ascendant-level groups in coordinated attacks, but the narrative does not name a unique offensive inheritance from that period. (Chapters 800, 918, and 1487)

Origin-soul planetary displacement

Xi Zifeng can extend a thread of divine sense from her origin soul, connect it to an evacuated cultivation planet, stop its rotation, and pull it off its established trajectory so a formation team can move it. The technique acts on a planetary scale but is not effortless power: changing the trajectory generates a severe rebound that tears the divine-sense thread and injures the origin soul. Repeating the task before recovery causes layered collapse, pallor, blood loss, and near inability to stand. Her ability to perform the operation on several planets demonstrates control and endurance, while the accumulated damage shows why it cannot be treated as a repeatable combat attack without cost. (Chapters 1487–1488)

Transferred Nirvana Cleanser cultivation

Wang Lin channels origin energy and comprehension into Xi Zifeng, raising her through Nirvana Scryer to Nirvana Cleanser. Because receiving cultivation this way is difficult and understanding cannot be forced instantly, he places three seals over the power so she can release, comprehend, and digest it gradually. Her listed Nirvana Cleanser realm is therefore real but deliberately regulated; the passage does not show her immediately wielding the full battle experience of a cultivator who advanced naturally through every stage. (Chapter 1489)

Blood-sword life treasure

Wang Lin refines a blood-red sword with a sliver of Ji Thunder and places it inside Xi Zifeng as her life treasure. He states that no one below the third step can withstand one strike from it and instructs her to cut down anyone who disrespects her. The sword gives her an overwhelming defensive deterrent against second-step enemies, but the corpus does not show repeated activations, a recharge cycle, or its performance against a true third-step cultivator. Those limits should remain unspecified rather than inferred from Wang Lin's declaration. (Chapter 1490)

Relationships

  • Wang Lin: Wang Lin repeatedly saves Xi Zifeng, later heals and empowers her, and briefly recasts their bond as teacher and disciple. She ultimately asks to stand beside him for one year as herself, accepting that he cannot return her love. (Chapters 798–801, 866–920, 1489–1490, 1668–1676, and 2081)
  • Master Flamespark: Both belong to Allheaven's cultivation order and later survive the Inner Realm war together. Xi Zifeng competes under the system Master Flamespark oversees, but the corpus does not establish a close personal mentorship between them. (Chapters 798, 866, and 1654–1656)
  • Mu Bingmei: Xi Zifeng and Mu Bingmei gather near Wang Lin after the war and agree with another woman to spend one year each beside him. Mu Bingmei waits while Xi Zifeng takes the first year. (Chapters 1177, 1487, and 1664–1679)

Items

  • Green thunder-defense jade: Xi Zifeng gives Wang Lin an important self-defense treasure capable of resisting powerful thunder before he enters the Thunder Celestial Temple's earth trial. (Chapter 871)
  • Blood-sword life treasure: Wang Lin fuses Ji Thunder into a blood sword, embeds it in Xi Zifeng, and gives it to her as protection against anyone below the third step. (Chapter 1490)
  • Wang Lin's jade message: Near the end of the corpus, a jade carrying Wang Lin's familiar aura and voice appears before Xi Zifeng after his divine sense passes her. (Chapter 2081)
