Tang Jia is an eighth Arcane Tribulant cultivator of the Xiu Sheng Sect who defends the Heavenly Bull's sixth meridian. Initially suspicious of Wang Lin, she changes sides after learning who he is, uses her strongest seal to help him survive the Gui Yi Sect's pursuit, and later becomes one of the notable Heavenly Bull fighters chosen for an imperial ancestral-temple trial. Biography

Reward at the Gui Yi Sect

Tang Jia arrives at the Gui Yi Sect after successfully guarding the Heavenly Bull's sixth meridian. Wang stares because she resembles someone he remembers, which she interprets as a familiar attempt at flirtation and answers with disgust. The Gui Yi sect master rewards her service by authorizing the Xiu Sheng Sect to triple its disciples and resources and by granting her water-element armor. (Chapters 1881–1882)

The reward is immediately followed by a covert mission to infiltrate the Green Devil Continent. Tang Jia agrees to surrender a wisp of life soul because she is willing to risk herself for her sect's expansion. When Wang refuses the arrangement, the sect master declares him a traitor and offers enormous rewards for his death. Tang activates the Heavenly Bull soul armor and joins the pursuit. Turning against Edge Cloud

Yun Yifeng sends Tang information about Wang's true identity and connection to Xuan Luo. She continues the chase but changes purpose. Pretending to help Edge Cloud, she closes in and traps him inside the Eight Gates Seal, creating the opening Wang needs to counterattack. Wang then recognizes her resemblance to the Third Concubine Tang Shan. Tang confirms the family connection through her conduct, helps with a golden-whip attack, and leaves once she has repaid the obligation to her sister. (Chapters 1883–1885)

Green Scorpion Temple and imperial summons

More than a century later, Tang returns to the Green Scorpion Temple with Yun Yifeng and Edge Cloud for their unfinished mission. They instead find Wang destroying the Green Devil Scorpion soul and obey his command to withdraw. Tang subsequently becomes famous in the continental war through use of the Heavenly Bull soul armor. An imperial edict names her among the cultivators ordered to enter the ancestral temple's trial, confirming that she survives the fighting covered by the corpus. (Chapters 1899 and 1911–1913)

Appearance and personality

Tang Jia is a young, beautiful woman in purple with a serene bearing and a Heavenly Bull tattoo on the right side of her face. She is reserved, proud, and initially quick to dismiss Wang's attention as lechery. At the same time, she is devoted to her sect and loyal to her sister, strong enough to change course when new evidence proves the official accusation against Wang unjust. (Chapters 1881–1885)

Eighth Arcane Tribulant cultivation

Tang Jia has passed eight Arcane Tribulants and stands one tribulation short of early Void Tribulant. Without armor, she judges that she cannot withstand Yun Yifeng's golden-blade attack. Her own casting speed is slower than Wang's under comparable pressure, but her seal is powerful enough to restrain an armored Void Tribulant opponent long enough for coordinated attacks to land. Heavenly Bull soul armor

The Heavenly Bull tattoo lets Tang manifest black soul armor. It raises her displayed strength to mid-stage Void Tribulant, enabling techniques beyond her base eighth-tribulation realm. The armor is a granted manifestation of the Heavenly Bull soul and its enhancement is temporary; it should not be treated as Tang's permanent unarmored cultivation. Her later battlefield fame is explicitly associated with this armor. (Chapters 1883–1884 and 1911)

Eight Gates Seal and golden whip

Tang's strongest spell summons eight golden gates around a target. The gates close into a powerful seal capable of briefly trapping Edge Cloud while he is operating at Void Tribulant strength through armor. He breaks it by sacrificing blood and releasing blood-colored ghosts, establishing that the seal can be overcome with sufficient force. Tang also forms a giant golden whip with an aura of destruction; it strikes Edge Cloud after Wang's attacks have broken his defenses and drives him back with blood loss. (Chapter 1884)

Relationships

  • Wang Lin: Tang initially dislikes and pursues Wang, then helps him after learning his identity and connection to her sister. A century later, she recognizes his overwhelming growth and withdraws at his command. (Chapters 1881–1899)
