Nangong Han

Nangong Han is a battle-loving Nirvana Scryer blade cultivator who challenges Wang Lin during the Southern Domain selection and later earns a celestial title. His theatrical confidence is tempered by unusually practical self-preservation: he admits defeat when Spatial Bending makes the matchup unfavorable and avoids risking his true body in an illusionary death match. Biography

Southern Domain challenger

Nangong Han confronts Wang Lin for first place among the Southern Domain candidates. His Devil-Slaughtering Heavenly Blades destroy one of Wang's black dragons and make him one of the few same-realm opponents Wang considers genuinely powerful. Nangong boasts that he has been unmatched at his level since completing his blades, but Wang's Spatial Bending bypasses the formation and forces him into a life-and-death defense. (Chapter 863)

Rather than let pride turn a disadvantage into death, Nangong loudly concedes and occupies another candidate's stone. Over the following week he repeatedly visits Wang to ask about Spatial Bending, then traps Xu Liguo in endless conversation after Wang claims the devil spirit knows it. Nangong enters the Thunder Celestial Temple competition among the 108 Southern Domain selections. (Chapters 863–865)

Celestial-title competition

Nangong adjusts his attitude after learning that Wang and Qing Shui are fellow disciples, deciding friendship will be more useful than hostility. In the illusionary trial, he discovers that his real body has entered rather than an expendable projection and hides until the most dangerous fighting is over. He later claims he approached to help when Wang kills an ambusher, and both men are drawn out as finalists. (Chapters 870 and 878–879)

He refuses conversion in the Celestial Pool, successfully carves his name into the Celestial Bestowment Stone, and asks to enter the Treasure Pavilion to study celestial spells. The corpus records no later fate. (Chapters 880–881)

Appearance and personality

Nangong Han is a black-robed man with intense battle spirit, loud laughter, and a tendency to turn conversation into performance. He loves worthy opponents and talks relentlessly, yet is neither suicidal nor ashamed to retreat when the odds become unreasonable. His quick attempt to improve relations with Wang also shows an opportunistic, socially adaptable side. (Chapters 863–864 and 870–879)

Nirvana Scryer blade cultivation

Nangong operates at the Nirvana Scryer level and has previously dominated opponents at Ascendant and Corporeal Yang. His origin energy behaves like an extremely sharp blade inside an opponent's body, attempting to tear it apart. He can also release a silver flash through his palm to meet a close-range domain attack, though Wang's life-and-death origin energy still wounds him. (Chapter 863)

Devil-Slaughtering Heavenly Blades

Nangong summons multiple immense illusory blades whose descents distort or crack space. Successive blades can absorb the fragments and force of those destroyed before them, concentrating the attack; five blades together destroy one of Wang's enhanced Call the Wind dragons. Damage to all five feeds back into Nangong's mind, showing that the manifestations are linked to him rather than disposable images. (Chapter 863)

Nine Tune Blade Formation

Nine illusory blades rotate around Nangong and scatter into countless silver threads, creating a moving defensive and offensive formation. It can reconstruct blades that have just collapsed and pressures nearby space, but Spatial Bending allows Wang to appear past its expected line of engagement. Nangong explicitly recognizes that limitation and refuses to continue until he can understand the movement spell. (Chapter 863)

• Wang Lin: Nangong challenges Wang, concedes when Spatial Bending proves decisive, pesters him for insight, and later cultivates a friendlier relationship. (Chapters 863–881)
