Li Yingzhi

Li Yingzhi is a core disciple and envoy of the Corpse Sect whose report on the body occupied by Tuo Sen helps mobilize the sect's hidden kings. Her caution, four corpse puppets, and unusually advanced cultivation make her far more consequential than her courteous appearance initially suggests. (Chapters 1092–1098)

Biography

Envoy at the Vermillion Bird coronation

Li Yingzhi arrives as the Corpse Sect's representative while the factions of the Alliance gather for the new Vermillion Bird Divine Emperor. She introduces herself to Li Yunzi and watches the other guests closely, especially the unfamiliar Mo Zhi. Li Yunzi identifies her as a core disciple who has already reached Nirvana Cleanser at a young age and warns that her four corpse puppets make her apparent realm a poor measure of her actual force. When Wang Lin appears in armor that radiates crushing heat, Li Yingzhi immediately abandons her earlier contempt and greets him respectfully. Wang gives her a jade containing the image and location of Tuo Sen's enormous ancient-god body. She recognizes that the gift is not simple generosity: Wang is deliberately putting something irresistible before the corpse specialists and expects them to act on it. Rather than remain for the ceremony, she withdraws to carry the intelligence home. (Chapters 1093 and 1096–1097)

Report to the Corpse Sect

Li Yingzhi kneels before the coffins of the Corpse Sect's kings and gives a careful account of what she witnessed. The Third King awakens to inspect the jade, and the pressure of its divine sense alone makes her origin soul tremble. As a reward, she receives permission to enter the sixth floor of the Corpse Pit and choose a corpse, but the text never shows what she selects. She also makes the limits of her appraisal clear: she suspects an ancient god yet cannot confirm the body's royal bloodline or eight-star level, and she fears the consequences if Wang's information proves false. Her report nevertheless drives the Corpse Sect to mobilize, and the Third King later questions Wang directly about the target. (Chapters 1098 and 1102)

Appearance and personality

Li Yingzhi is a beautiful woman in a blue silk dress, with flirtatious eyes and an intentionally alluring presentation. Behind that surface, she is observant and politically careful: she reassesses danger quickly, infers Wang's unstated purpose, and qualifies uncertain intelligence instead of pretending to know more than she does. Abilities and cultivation

Nirvana Cleanser cultivation and corpse puppets

Li Yingzhi is explicitly identified as a Nirvana Cleanser cultivator. Her sect's fighting strength also rests on four corpse puppets under her control; Li Yunzi states that three are no weaker than Nirvana Shatterer cultivators. The corpus does not show her deploying them in battle, so their individual bodies, techniques, and exact degree of autonomy remain unknown. Even so, the reported disparity explains why other cultivators treat her as more dangerous than her personal realm alone would imply. (Chapter 1093)

Corpse appraisal and limits

As a core Corpse Sect disciple, Li Yingzhi can identify enough of Tuo Sen's body to suspect that it belongs to an ancient god and to understand its exceptional value as a corpse. Her knowledge is not omniscient: she cannot verify the royal lineage or eight-star rank from Wang's jade and openly warns the kings of that uncertainty. Her invitation to the Corpse Pit demonstrates access to the sect's corpse resources, not possession of a newly chosen corpse within the supplied chapters. (Chapters 1097–1098)

Relationships
