Titania
Titania is the Pseudo-God Fairy Queen who rules the Forbidden Ground of Tir Na Nog. Her craftsmanship is known long before she enters William's service, but she later becomes one of his protectors, supporters, and wives. Titania assists his dungeon campaigns, guards him during the journey toward the Underworld, brings rest to the Grand Alliance before its decisive battle, and survives severe injuries sustained while shielding allies from the Army of Destruction. (Chapters 542–564, 1143–1270, 1323–1454)
Appearance and personality
Titania is an otherworldly beauty who appears to be in her early twenties. She carries herself with the composure of a sovereign, but responds to William with warmth and understated humor. She recognizes the practical value of shameless tactics, encourages William when she notices him smiling again, and does not panic when a Giant tries to make her beg for her life. “Tiana” is part of her True Name and is reserved for the few people she trusts deeply. (Chapters 1186, 1199, 1454)
Biography
The Holy Order and the Underworld
Titania first matters to William through Tir Na Nog and the equipment made in her name: her gauntlet design lets a wielder use Wind even without a natural affinity, and William later adapts that design when creating the Devourer's Gauntlets. After he reaches Tir Na Nog, Titania joins the Pseudo-Gods accompanying his campaign through other Forbidden Grounds. She supplies blood when he needs energy to corrupt the Dungeon of Apollon, contributes observations that help him exploit its structure, and then accompanies him through the Dungeon of Atlantis. Her concern is personal as well as tactical; when William wakes from a dream smiling, she tells him that she hopes he does so more often. (Chapters 542–564, 1143–1199)
William subsequently selects Titania as the sole Pseudo-God protector, aside from Leviathan's fixed guardianship of Atlantis, to accompany his passage toward the Underworld. The laws separating realms prevent her from appearing beside him there, leaving her to watch through their connection from inside the Thousand Beast Domain. After his return, she continues as part of his inner circle and joins his Western Continent mission while Tir Na Nog's Faeries enter the wider preparations for the Grand Alliance. Before the final invasion, Titania's music gives the assembled soldiers restorative sleep, and she watches the sunrise with William as his wife. In battle she shields Aila and Anh with her own body; although a Giant tears off her legs and nearly eats her, she refuses to plead, is rescued and stabilized, and remains alive in the postwar household. (Chapters 1247–1270, 1323, 1373, 1402, 1436, 1454–1469)
Skills, classes, and divinities
Fairy Queen and Pseudo-God
Titania rules Tir Na Nog and fights at the Pseudo-God rank. Her blood carries enough power to replenish William during sustained dungeon corruption, and her position gives her authority over the Faeries of her Forbidden Ground. The corpus does not provide a System class sheet or a complete list of her direct combat techniques, so her rank should not be expanded into unshown spells. (Chapters 1143, 1186, 1402)
Enchanted music and craftsmanship
Titania's music can serenade a vast military encampment into restful sleep and leave exhausted soldiers energized after only a few hours. She is also an accomplished magical smith: Titania's Gauntlets are Pseudo-Legendary equipment fitted with a special gem that grants Wind proficiency to a wielder without the affinity. The enchantment belongs to the crafted gauntlets, while the restorative music is Titania's demonstrated support magic. (Chapters 542, 1436)
Relationships
- William: Titania becomes William's protector, subordinate, and eventual wife. She supports his dungeon campaign, accompanies his interrealm journey as far as the laws allow, and helps prepare his army for the final battle. (Chapters 1186–1199, 1270, 1323, 1373, 1436)
- Astrape and Bronte: Fellow Pseudo-Gods who fight and explore alongside Titania under William's command. The three supply support during the Dungeon of Apollon and later travel together on coalition business. (Chapters 1186, 1247, 1373)
- Loxos, Opis, and Hekaerge: Nymph allies who share the defense of William's territories. Loxos is one of the few permitted to call her Tiana and is devastated when Titania is almost killed. (Chapters 1186, 1270, 1454)
- Aila and Anh: Titania places herself between the two women and a Giant during the final war, suffering catastrophic injuries to keep them alive. They immediately work to stabilize her after her rescue. (Chapter 1454)
Items
- Titania's Gauntlets: Pseudo-Legendary gauntlets forged by Titania and socketed with a gem that confers Wind proficiency. The auctioned pair passes into William's crafting project; it is evidence of Titania's workmanship, not an item she continues to wear on-page. (Chapters 542–564)
Mechanics and limitations
- Titania is a Pseudo-God, but stronger primordial authority can restrain her. Ahriman's divine chains immobilize her alongside the Nymphs and Triton. (Chapter 1247)
- Her connection to William lets her observe his Underworld journey from the Thousand Beast Domain, but it cannot bypass the realm's laws or allow her to manifest at his side. (Chapter 1323)
- Her music demonstrably restores soldiers through sleep; the corpus does not specify its maximum range, duration, or effectiveness on unwilling targets. (Chapter 1436)
- Titania's durability is not regeneration. A Giant tears off her legs and leaves her near death, requiring rescue, Life Magic, and healing potions to survive. (Chapter 1454)
