Biography

Raising the Dragon Fist Clan

Mun Yun earns his elder seat through feats in the Demon–Justice War rather than membership in one of the six ruling clans. He uses that standing to raise the Dragon Fist Clan until its influence approaches theirs. The result makes his family the first neutral prize every succession candidate seeks: support from Mun Yun can provide martial strength and legitimacy without directly submitting to a rival great clan. His political caution is also shaped by family loss. After his son dies, Mun Yun is left with twin grandchildren, Mun Ku and Mun Yu. Suffocation during Mun Yu's birth leaves the boy severely impaired, while clan custom expects a male successor.
