Siz
Siz is a local applicant who meets Gary Dem, Kai, and Lupus during a kingdom-knight assessment. His warning about the Rock Guild helps the newcomers understand the sabotage around them, while their support gives him the confidence and protection needed to turn a third attempt into a place in knight training.
Biography
A third attempt and an unexpected alliance
Siz approaches the three strangers after they reject Oppo, warning that the Rock Guild recruits inexperienced applicants as disposable helpers and sabotages anyone who threatens its members' chances. He knows their methods because this is also his third assessment attempt. Unlike the better-equipped guild veterans, he needs to become a knight for his family and admits that nerves and practical exercises have repeatedly held him back. That pressure does not stop him from helping the newcomers, even though being seen with them makes him another target for Oppo. (Chapters 1597–1598)
During the tests, Siz proves that his anxiety understates his ability: he keeps pace without enhanced equipment, catches red balls while avoiding the black ones, and records the second-fastest wall-climbing time outside Gary's group. Oppo knocks him down and repeatedly attacks him, but Gary and Kai intervene, and Gary later stops Siz from blaming himself for the violence the Rock Guild caused. Siz is detained as a witness after the assessment, then released when the investigators no longer need his testimony. He subsequently trains beside the trio as a knight recruit. Their long farewell leaves him uncertain whether they will meet again, but Gary assures him that his instincts and talent can make him a great knight. (Chapters 1598–1619)
Appearance and personality
Siz is a young man of average height with a wiry, unassuming build. He wears clean but simple local clothing rather than expensive beast gear. His appearance and equipment make him easy for the Rock Guild to dismiss, even though his fitness soon places him near the front of the assessment. (Chapters 1597–1608)
He is anxious, candid, and strongly motivated by responsibility to his family. Siz rubs his hands and speaks nervously under official scrutiny, and he is quick to internalize blame when violence erupts around him. He nevertheless warns strangers about a dangerous scheme, perseveres after two earlier failures, and keeps competing after deliberate injury, showing courage that operates alongside rather than in the absence of fear.
Powers and abilities
Athleticism and assessment skills
Siz has no demonstrated supernatural, Altered, Qi, or equipment-derived power. His ordinary athletic ability includes sustained running, balance, grip strength, agility, and hand-eye coordination. He keeps pace with enhanced competitors, catches several designated balls while avoiding hazards, and climbs a demanding wall faster than nearly every other applicant. He also recognizes when Oppo's boots are providing speed or stamina enhancement, indicating practical knowledge of beast gear even though he does not use such equipment himself. (Chapters 1598–1600)
His principal limitation is inconsistent confidence under pressure. Siz says the practical portions caused both previous failures, and sabotage can break his concentration or knock him out of position. The assessment demonstrates that reassurance and fair conditions let his natural skill emerge; the corpus does not establish how far that skill progresses after he begins formal knight training.
Relationships
Gary Dem and Kai
Gary and Kai repeatedly prevent the Rock Guild from exploiting or injuring Siz, then treat him as a companion rather than a burden. Gary directly challenges Siz's self-blame, while Kai's intervention earns Siz's immediate gratitude. Training beside them helps turn an isolated third attempt into a successful beginning, and their departure affects him more deeply than their short acquaintance might suggest.
Oppo
Siz understands Oppo as the face of a guild culture that treats weaker applicants as tools. His decision to warn the newcomers places him in Oppo's path, and Oppo responds by kicking and targeting him during the tests. Siz's eventual entry into training denies the Rock Guild the failure it tried to impose on him.
Items
Siz has no finalized notable personal item in the supplied inventory. His assessment performance is achieved without identified beast gear or a signature weapon.
