Lilly

Lilly is Jack Dem's wife and an early vampire whose unexplained transformation becomes the emotional pressure Unzoku exploits to turn two werewolf packs against one another. Her fate differs between the original history and the responsive memory-world experienced by Gary, Kai, and Lupus.

An Energy Star Guild worker also called Lilly is mentioned while preparing coins in Chapter 1537. The corpus never identifies that worker as Jack's wife, so this article does not merge the two people; Chapter 1635 is the wife's first unambiguous appearance.

Biography

Transformation and concealed illness

Lilly disappears for a day and returns at night with no memory of what happened. She soon becomes unable to tolerate sunlight or ordinary food and develops a need for blood. Jack hides her inside the heat of his forge during daylight, supplies his own blood, and withdraws from public responsibilities to protect her, while Lilly tries to preserve normal life by walking through the settlement at night and encouraging him to attend to the kingdom. Their secrecy prevents the pack from understanding her changed scent and behavior, leaving Unzoku free to present the condition as a curse that only violence between Alphas can end. The simulation never proves who turned Lilly or how; characters suspect manipulation by Unzoku or an unknown vampire, but identify neither an assailant nor an exact method. (Chapters 1635–1647)

Manipulation, rescue, and a simulated future

An attacker with red eyes places Lilly in a trance and leads her into the forest, where she awakens beside a dead member of Steve's pack. She tries to explain the memory gap and asks to speak with Jack, but frightened wolves treat her as the same type of creature that has been attacking their people. In the altered simulation, Lupus intervenes and keeps her alive until Jack arrives. Lilly prevents Jack's anger from turning the misunderstanding into immediate war, and her survival gives him time to work with Steve against Unzoku. Lenny later supplies a ring that lets her endure sunlight, while Lilly's sharpened senses help her warn Bluebird of a hidden full-moon attacker. These events are a possible branch created by the visitors' choices, not a retroactive survival in the original timeline. (Chapters 1648–1710)

Original death and historical consequence

After the simulation ends, Jack reveals what originally occurred without the visitors' intervention. Steve's frightened pack finds Lilly over the body, attacks when she flees, and overwhelms her despite her resistance. Steve arrives too late and leaves in shock; Jack then finds his wife's corpse and attacks his brother with intent to kill, advancing the feud Unzoku engineered. Jack is grateful that the memory-world let him see how Lilly might have lived, but the revelation confirms her true historical status as deceased. (Chapter 1713)

Appearance and personality

Lilly becomes visibly pale after her transformation. During trance her eyes lose their color, while physical restraint in the forest leaves marks around her wrists and arms. The corpus provides no stable hair, eye, height, or clothing description. (Chapters 1635, 1648–1657)

She is patient, compassionate, and protective of Jack's duties even while frightened by her own condition. Lilly repeatedly asks others to avoid escalating conflict, tries to explain herself before fighting, and softens Jack's anger after her rescue. Her fear is not passive: when trapped in the original history, she resists Steve's pack with everything she has.

Powers and abilities

Vampirism

Lilly acquires vampirism during her unexplained disappearance. It makes sunlight burn or severely weaken her, removes the satisfaction of ordinary food, creates a strong need for blood, changes her scent, and makes proximity to werewolves instinctively uncomfortable. Jack's blood sustains her, but the corpus does not specify how often she must feed, whether any blood would work equally well, or which vampire transformed her. (Chapters 1635–1651, 1658)

Her body develops enhanced senses, strength, speed, and resilience. She can distinguish humans and werewolves by scent, is drawn toward human blood, detects a concealed attacker above Bluebird, and struggles strongly enough that a werewolf restraining her is unsure how long he can hold her. Mental control and sunlight mitigation

The same red-eyed influence associated with her disappearance can empty Lilly's gaze, suppress awareness, and guide her body to another location. This is a vulnerability imposed on her, not a power she demonstrates controlling herself, and the attacker's identity and command limits remain unknown. In the altered simulation, a beast-material ring from Lenny allows her to walk in sunlight; the ring mitigates that weakness but does not cure the blood dependency or erase her vampire physiology. Relationships

Jack Dem

Jack is Lilly's husband, blood source, and protector. His love keeps her alive after transformation but also makes her the point through which Unzoku can manipulate his leadership. Lilly's survival in the simulation lets him choose cooperation; her original death drives him toward killing Steve.

Lupus

Lupus protects Lilly in the forest even while unsure whether changing history will damage the trial. She later thanks him, and the experience changes his assumptions about werewolves forming families with people outside their own kind.

Steve

Steve does not believe Lilly is responsible for the attacks, but his frightened followers kill her before he can prevent it. His shock and Jack's grief turn her death into the decisive fracture between the brothers' packs.

Bluebird

Bluebird is entrusted with Lilly's safety during the full moon in the simulated branch. She in turn uses her altered senses to save him from a surprise attack, making their protection reciprocal rather than merely custodial.

Items

Within the altered simulation, Lenny gives Jack a beast-material ring for Lilly that allows her to walk in sunlight. The original-history Lilly never receives it, and it has no finalized standalone item page in the supplied inventory.
