Glen
Glen is the leader of the Energy Star Guild in Bronzeland. He turns three travelers' need for passage into a plan to sell their werewolf bodies, underestimating both his intended captives and the local pack watching his guild.
Biography
A profitable quest becomes a failed werewolf trap
Glen recognizes that Gary Dem, Kai, and Lupus are unfamiliar with the region and offers directions and entry to the Redwing Kingdom in exchange for help on a beast quest. After confirming that they are werewolves, he leads them and roughly fifteen adventurers into the forest. The supposed giant-moth hunt is a prepared ambush: Glen's guild uses a magic circle, vines, ice, lightning, and crushing force to prevent the three from transforming. Glen admits that buyers will pay to experiment on werewolf bodies, making profit—not protection of the town—the reason for his hospitality and elaborate deception. (Chapters 1537–1540)
The coordinated magic initially holds because the travelers are weakened, but a local werewolf pack interrupts the execution. Glen orders every mage to attack the newcomer; Steve survives the barrage, transforms, and tears Glen in half with one claw strike. Glen's death collapses the authority behind the trap, and Steve's pack defeats the remaining adventurers. (Chapter 1541)
Appearance and personality
Glen is a tall older man with deep forehead wrinkles, a long face, a heavy drooping mustache, and a near-permanent smirk. His ornate office reflects accumulated wealth. He is observant enough to infer his guests' destination and needs, but his warm negotiation is calculated deception, and greed makes him treat sentient werewolves as valuable specimens. (Chapters 1537–1540)
Powers and abilities
Glen is a staff-wielding mage. He can ignite the staff and launch multiple small fire embers accurately enough to burn flying snakes out of the air. As a leader, he coordinates a larger prepared spell formation capable of pinning weakened werewolves and disrupting their transformations, but the scene attributes that combined effect to multiple guild mages and several elements rather than Glen alone. His personal defense and durability remain human enough that Steve kills him in one transformed strike. (Chapters 1538–1541)
