Eddy

Eddy is the AFA teacher assigned to guide Gary Dem through the academy and his professional debut. He provides training, orientation, and public-relations preparation, becoming the institutional mentor most directly responsible for presenting Gary as an AFC prospect.

Biography

Coaching an unconventional prospect

Eddy meets Gary after the assessment facility and gives him a tour of the main AFA campus before reuniting him with the other successful students. He treats Gary as talented but troublesome, then takes responsibility for his training and public presentation. Before AJ Entertainment's visit, Eddy rehearses answers and behavior with Gary because any embarrassing broadcast would reflect on both teacher and academy; during the program he remains alert to Gary's awkwardness while allowing Clem's unscripted format to proceed. Eddy later sits beside Gary at the press conference following his victory over Haze, selecting reporters and expecting to manage a conventional debut narrative. Gary instead announces an indefinite AFC hiatus without warning him. Eddy's confusion underscores the limit of his role: he can prepare Gary for the sporting institution, but cannot resolve the gang, identity, and family responsibilities pulling Gary away from it. Appearance and personality
