Silver

Silver is Fex's older sister and the thirteenth family's Blood Knight, first sent to Earth to retrieve him after he runs away. Her loyalty repeatedly pushes her beyond orders: she proves Fex's innocence, defends his allies, joins resistance against corrupt vampire leadership, and later fights beside Leo, whose death leads her to enter eternal slumber. (Chapters 140–219, 352–468, 819–934, 1327–1404, and 1855–1862)

Biography

Retrieving Fex from the Academy

Lee sends Silver to Earth as the family's trusted Blood Knight after Fex is taken into military school. She infiltrates another base as a homeroom teacher, uses family connections and influence to locate him, and treats recovery as both formal duty and personal responsibility toward her younger brother. Her controlled, intimidating presentation conceals impatience with the assignment, but she persists until the Inter-Base Tournament brings the schools together. (Chapters 140, 192, 219, and 277–292)

Back in the vampire settlement, Silver refuses to accept the other leaders' assumption that Fex illegally created Peter. She personally tests Peter and proves that her brother is innocent, turning familial conviction into evidence rather than a blind plea. When Quinn and the others attempt to save Fex from execution, Silver abandons passive protest and uses her strings against Bryce, reasoning that she cannot stand aside while outsiders risk themselves for her brother. The intervention fails to overpower a leader, but it makes her opposition public and helps the rescue proceed. (Chapters 302, 352–357, and 445–468)

Protector and Rescuer

Silver repays debts as seriously as she enforces family duty. She warns Borden about retaliation because he once defended a tenth-family student and later tries to protect Quinn's group while they are vulnerable in the settlement. During a Bloodsucker attack she cooperates with Leo, recognising both his strength and the need to prevent larger conflict among the families. These choices gradually connect her loyalty to people outside the thirteenth family. (Chapters 401–434 and 708–722)

When Fex disappears with altered memories, Silver refuses to leave the search to official channels. She and Leo track him outside the settlement, fight the vampires holding him, and capture the eighth-family knight responsible. Silver's six-armed flesh doll restrains the prisoner, while Leo prevents suicide and verifies threats through his energy sight. The rescue deepens their trust and makes Silver one of the figures coordinating evidence against the conspiracy around Cindy and Jill. (Chapters 819–934)

Resistance in the Vampire Settlement

As Bryce's rule and Arthur's campaign destabilise the settlement, Silver passes intelligence to the leaders willing to resist and shelters with Leo and Erin at the thirteenth castle. She chooses the settlement over neutrality when Arthur attacks, using her strings even though they can barely restrain one of his arms. Later she joins Paul and Kazz against Tempus, disguising a puppet as herself so that the Original wastes his touch-based reversal power on a false body; the opening lets Paul's poison and their combined attacks kill him. (Chapters 1124, 1327–1358)

Silver continues fighting through the Dalki war beside Lee and Fex. Their combined red strings restrain Graham only briefly, and she has to watch Graham kill her father before Fex pulls her away from a suicidal counterattack. The loss reinforces rather than ends her commitment: she retrieves Lee's body, later helps protect other vampires, and remains a capable fighter after the war. (Chapters 1552–1571)

Leo's Death and Eternal Slumber

Silver's relationship with Leo grows from battlefield trust into acknowledged love. On a protection mission, she fights a dhampir with string traps and improved swordsmanship while Leo confronts Erin. Leo exhausts himself diverting a demon-tier attack meant for Silver, then Erin fatally stabs him before Silver and Chris can intervene. Silver abandons pursuit, holds Leo's body for an entire day, and helps bury him at the peaceful shelter where she imagined they might have retired together. (Chapters 1855–1862)

After parting from Chris, Silver returns to the vampire settlement without speaking to Fex, Muka, or the other leaders and enters eternal slumber. The choice suspends her life rather than confirming her death, and the corpus does not establish whether she later awakens. Her final known action is therefore withdrawal under grief, not a narrated death or completed recovery. (Chapter 1862)

Appearance and personality

Silver has very pale skin and exceptionally long, bright silver hair, usually tied in a ponytail that reaches from her waist toward her knees. She carries herself with a stiff expression and confident authority, which makes her seem severe even while teaching. Silver is dutiful, proud, teasing, and intensely loyal; she repays favours, challenges leaders when family is threatened, and can be driven toward reckless action by loss. Her growing willingness to defend the whole settlement shows that loyalty expands beyond blood relations, while her response to Leo's death reveals how completely personal attachment had come to define her hoped-for future. (Chapters 140, 192, 409–434, 1358, 1564–1566, and 1857–1862)

Powers and abilities

Silver is a high-ranking vampire whose signature thirteenth-family ability creates red strings for restraint, manipulation, traps, and puppet control. She combines those strings with vampire blood aura, swordsmanship, influence, and specialised constructed bodies, but stronger leaders and Originals can break or overpower her control directly. (Chapters 219, 352–357, 467–468, 872–903, 1331–1358, and 1858–1859)

Red-string ability

Silver produces red strings from her fingertips and directs them with fine control. She can bind limbs or mouths, pull weapons off course, restrain bodies, suspend trip lines between thrown needles, retrieve a sword after it is deflected, and coordinate the motion of several targets. The strings transmit her pulling strength rather than guaranteeing immobilisation: Bryce cuts them without moving his blade, Arthur drags Silver into shadow through one, and Graham can resist three thirteenth-family users at once. (Chapters 353, 467–468, 872, 1331–1333, 1561–1562, and 1858)

The ability supports both capture and lethal combat. Silver silently seals guards' mouths, uses a web to restrict a dhampir's routes, and wraps wounded or dead bodies so she can move them without approaching danger. Sharp opponents can detect and cut the strings, and extensive control requires positioning and continued attention. (Chapters 1331, 1566, and 1858–1859)

Puppet control and disguise

Silver can attach a complex network of strings to a puppet and translate small sword or finger movements into coordinated attacks. Her family's sacred doll is made of flesh, has six arms carrying six swords, and can restrain a vampire physically stronger than Silver. Its construction is robust and damaged limbs can be reattached with string, but an Original's blood effect ultimately tears it into pieces too small to rebuild. Silver's direct strings are insufficient to hold that opponent once the doll is gone. (Chapters 872–876 and 900–903)

She later creates or controls a puppet that looks almost identical to herself, distinguished at first by a red tint. Silver can alter its appearance well enough to swap visual roles with it, tricking Tempus into grabbing the false Silver while the real one attacks. The corpus demonstrates the disguise and control but does not fully explain the puppet's material, creation process, duration, or whether the effect is a soul weapon. (Chapter 1358)

Vampire body, blood aura, and influence

As a Blood Knight, Silver has enhanced speed, strength, senses, healing, and blood-aura attacks. She can fire a blood swipe, enlarge a sword strike with red aura, recover by drinking stored blood, and use influence to daze or control humans. The abilities have rank-based limits: her aura loses against a dhampir's stronger energy, severe damage still requires blood, and her influence is used covertly against ordinary humans rather than demonstrated against high-level mental resistance. (Chapters 219, 316, 468, 903, and 1858)

Swordsmanship and combat judgment

Silver fights with a sword directly and through her strings and puppets. Experience beside Leo improves her swordsmanship enough that she can pressure a dhampir while maintaining a string trap, redirect a thrown blade for repeated attacks, and coordinate with Paul and Kazz against Tempus's regeneration. She remains vulnerable when emotion overrides judgment, as shown when Fex must stop her from charging Graham after Lee's death. (Chapters 872, 1358, 1564, and 1858–1859)

Relationships

  • Fex: Fex is Silver's younger brother and the first focus of her story. She pursues, disciplines, defends, proves innocent, and rescues him; their bond persists even when family rules require her to oppose leaders. (Chapters 140–219, 352–468, and 819–934)
  • Leo: Silver and Leo become trusted partners through Fex's rescue and settlement resistance, then admit romantic feelings. Leo dies protecting her, and grief drives Silver into eternal slumber after she buries him. (Chapters 708–722, 819–934, 1124, and 1855–1862)
  • Lee: Lee is Silver and Fex's father and the thirteenth-family leader. Silver serves him formally and rarely calls him father, but his death before her causes an immediate attempt at self-sacrifice. (Chapters 140, 353, 494, and 1564–1566)
  • Paul and Kazz: Silver joins the two Vampire Knights against Tempus. Her disguised puppet creates the opening that lets Paul's poison and Kazz's sword overwhelm the Original's recovery. (Chapter 1358)
  • Borden: Silver protects Borden in repayment for his defence of someone from her family, warning him about first-family retaliation and trying to keep him safe in the settlement. (Chapters 409–434)

Items

  • Six-armed flesh doll: A sacred thirteenth-family puppet and gift from Lee. Silver controls its six swords through a complex string system, repairs separated limbs, and uses it to restrain captives; Remus eventually destroys it beyond reconstruction. (Chapters 872–876 and 900–903)
  • Sword and string needles: Silver combines a sword with red aura and string control, while thrown needles anchor webs that cut or confine moving opponents. Neither weapon is given a distinct name in the corpus. (Chapters 1333, 1358, and 1858–1859)
