Amy

Amy is a blonde succubus who befriends Layla at the vampire settlement's subclass school and later joins the tenth family with Xander. She supplies the human newcomers with practical knowledge, risks herself during attacks on the settlement, and eventually marries Xander and has children with him. The “Amy Yellop” named in Chapter 200 is a separate academy student and is not treated as Amy's alias or first appearance. (Chapters 200, 406, 516–529, 833–887, and 1794)

Biography

Befriending Layla at subclass school

Amy introduces herself to Layla in the C-class subclass classroom and helps her understand how the small school is organised. Her direct, strong-willed manner makes Layla cautious at first, but Amy becomes a steady companion, teasing her about Vorden while also worrying when Layla is drawn into the leaders' conflict. During Fex's execution battle, Amy runs into the fighting to reach a badly bleeding Layla and urges her to evolve so that the Hannya's improved healing can save her. Amy and Xander then shelter Layla and Cia in their home. She explains family abilities, ability-book markets, currency, and the restrictions placed on vampire powers, allowing the newcomers to make informed choices without pretending that she understands every mechanic herself. Her family had served Xander's because his ancestors turned them, and Xander's invitation into the first family's inner area had raised both households' position; their expulsion and decision to enter the tenth family therefore bind Amy's future to his. Defending the tenth family

Amy remains with the tenth family after the immediate crisis. She and Xander are asked to help look after new arrivals, and during a Bloodsucker attack Amy runs for assistance rather than abandoning the threatened students.
