Sun Luyao
Sun Luyao is the younger Sun brother whose consciousness becomes the resident spirit of the Boundless Mirror. His continuing human loyalty to Sun Luyuan competes with the immortal artifact's hunger and with Li Fan's later control.

The Boundless Mirror Immortal Artifact
Sun Luyao and his elder brother Sun Luyuan discover a damaged bronze mirror that the Tianxuan Mirror cannot perceive. Continued contact binds the younger brother into the artifact as its “spirit,” giving the family extraordinary divination while subjecting him to cravings for bloodline offerings and mirror fragments. When Li Fan refines the Boundless Mirror, Sun Luyao becomes a coerced intermediary. He pleads, performs recovery for his brother, peers into Tianxuan secrets, guides a First Origin Sect expedition, and warns Li Fan during the Voidbright crystal operation. These actions belong to the human consciousness under layered pressures: Sun Luyao is neither the original immortal artifact itself nor a free incarnation once Li Fan takes control. Appearance and personality
Sun Luyao appears as a projected human figure from the mirror rather than as an independently embodied cultivator. He is loyal and self-sacrificing toward his elder brother, frightened by the forces inside the artifact, and capable of suppressing his own pain to support the family. Hunger episodes and statements made under Li Fan's orders cannot be treated as uncoerced personality. (Chapters 1160 and 1165–1167)

Boundless Mirror divination
Through the mirror, Sun Luyao displays possible futures, peers into matters concealed from ordinary Tianxuan searches, and guides explorers toward hidden targets. Divination requires activation and can provoke dangerous visions; it also fails against some deliberately concealed Alliance information. (Chapters 1159–1167 and 1206–1213)
Artifact-spirit persistence
Sun Luyao survives as the mirror's resident intelligence and can appear when fed Sun-family essence blood. This continuity costs autonomy: the artifact's appetite can overwhelm him, and a stronger refiner can suppress or direct his responses. (Chapters 1159–1167)
Relationships
- Sun Luyuan: His elder brother protects, feeds, and relies on him. Their affection remains genuine even when Li Fan secretly dictates Sun Luyao's words.
- Li Fan: Li Fan refines the mirror, suppresses its resident spirit, and uses Sun Luyao as an intelligence channel.
- Ji Hongdao: Sun Luyao guides Ji Hongdao and Sun Luyuan through the First Origin Sect ruins while concealing Li Fan's control.
