Liu San

Liu San is Liu Ruchen's rescued orphan, disciple, household retainer, and trusted manager of the ancient Medicine King Sect. Li Fan awakens and manipulates that loyalty for his own institutional project. (Chapters 614–615)

Treasures of the Deep Sea

Although the same name appears on an early mortal crewman, the recurrent Liu San awakens thousands of years later inside the Medicine King True Cauldron. Li Fan feeds him a Fruit of True Temptation and implants absolute trust in the supposed young master Liu Yihang. Grieving over Liu Ruchen's recorded sacrifice, Liu San nevertheless adapts quickly, scouts the modern Alliance, organizes awakened disciples, attempts Longevity Pill refinement, and becomes the practical elder who guards Xu Bai and keeps dangerous discoveries secret. His loyalty is authentic in origin but deliberately redirected by mind alteration. (Chapters 614–619, 658, 675, 703–705)

Appearance and personality

The corpus identifies Liu San as an elderly man and long-serving “old servant” but does not establish a precise fixed costume or facial design. He is loyal, grateful, disciplined, and administratively capable, though emotionally devastated by Liu Ruchen's apparent death. His failed first attempts to adapt ancient alchemy to changed world laws also reveal pride and persistence rather than effortless mastery. (Chapters 615, 619)

Abilities and cultivation

Longevity Sutra alchemy

Liu San is an ancient Dao Integration cultivator trained personally by Liu Ruchen. He circulates azure Longevity Energy through the True Cauldron and ninety-nine auxiliary cauldrons to refine longevity medicine, and he recognizes high-level law manipulation when Xu Bai reshapes the Beast Realm. Ancient recipes can fail under modern heavenly laws, so his alchemy requires adaptation rather than working automatically. (Chapters 619, 703)

Relationships

Liu Ruchen is Liu San's rescuer, teacher, and original master. Li Fan, disguised as Liu Yihang, exploits that devotion through the Fruit of True Temptation. Fang Zaiji is a talented but irritating fellow elder whose remote tricks repeatedly provoke Liu San. (Chapters 615, 637, 703–705)
