Biography

Chapter 637

Li Fan awakens Fang Zaiji after questioning Liu San about the slumbering elders, then modifies the guest elder's memories to fit the new order. Fang's emotional attachment to the Medicine King Sect is limited, but his fascination with artifact design makes him immediately useful. He develops protective equipment for Xu Bai and creates the eighty-one Eyes of Shared Vision, a consciousness-linked remote system inspired by the Great Dream formation. His teasing use of a golden eye irritates Liu San, while his technical analysis helps interpret Xu Bai's reality-rewriting epiphany. (Chapters 637, 675, 680, 703–705)

Appearance and personality

No stable facial or clothing description is supplied for Fang Zaiji in this arc. His personality is much clearer: inventive, irreverent, curious, and more devoted to artifacts than sect loyalty. He enjoys theatrical remote appearances and provokes Liu San, but becomes serious when a new mechanism or world-law phenomenon demands analysis. (Chapters 637, 703–705)

Artifact refinement and Eyes of Shared Vision

Fang is an ancient Dao Integration cultivator specializing in artifact refinement. The Eyes of Shared Vision link many users' perception and allow his consciousness to speak through a golden eyeball at distance. Synchronization can also reveal a user's intended movements, as Liu San learns when trying to catch the eye. The system is powerful surveillance and communication equipment, not omniscience. Relationships

Liu Ruchen once saved Fang and promised access to the True Cauldron. Liu San is his fellow elder and frequent target of jokes. Xu Bai is both a client for protective equipment and a source of phenomena Fang wants to understand. (Chapters 637, 675, 703–705)
