Yin Hong

Yin Hong is the fierce, autonomous self who emerged to carry the suffering that Yin Bai could not survive. She is not a separate biological sister, yet she thinks, acts, remembers, and fights independently, and the story consistently preserves that distinction. (Chapters 847–907)

Biography

The hidden half of Lee Xueyin

Chen Ge first follows Yin Hong's trail through her classroom, where her books and crumpled notes reveal rage that Yin Bai does not remember. When both girls meet Wei Jiuqing, Yin Hong explains that she surfaced while Yin Bai slept and experienced the same abuse without being remembered in return. Wei Jiuqing identifies her as the self who took away Lee Xueyin's anxiety, fear, hatred, and unbearable memories. (Chapters 847–859)

Choosing to defend the school

Yin Hong initially distrusts Chen and resents Wei Jiuqing, but the old man's instinctive protection begins to break through her hostility. During the School of the Afterlife's collapse, she takes Yin Bai's hand, rescues threatened students alongside Han Song, guards Wei Jiuqing, and refuses to abandon Chen even after his bluff is exposed. She ultimately stays behind as a defender when Wei Jiuqing becomes the school's new administrator. (Chapters 857–906)

Appearance and personality

Yin Hong closely resembles Yin Bai but presents a sharper expression, a visible canine tooth, and eyes that redden when painful memories stir her power. She is blunt, suspicious, possessive, and willing to threaten people, yet her hostility is rooted in protective vigilance. Her loyalty becomes unmistakable once she decides that Yin Bai, Wei Jiuqing, and the school's children are hers to defend. (Chapters 847–859, 896–906)

Skills and supernatural abilities

Yin Hong is explicitly identified as a Red Specter. She can manifest the strength and blood-red presence associated with that rank and withstand the School of the Afterlife's large-scale battle, but no individually named technique is established. Her intimate knowledge of the school and its dangers also makes her an effective guide and defender. (Chapters 857–906)

Relationships

Yin Bai is the gentle self whom Yin Hong was formed to protect, although their first direct reunion is tense because only Yin Hong remembers their shared suffering. Wei Jiuqing accepts both girls as Lee Xueyin and shields Yin Hong despite her resentment. Chen Ge exposes the truth, earns her reluctant trust, and leaves the school in the care of allies including Yin Hong. (Chapters 856–906)

Yin Hong's school bag contains textbooks covered with doodles, crumpled notes, and writings that preserve the anger excluded from Yin Bai's memories.
