Vampire Inheritance fragments

Description

The Vampire Inheritance fragments are six Class B quest relics that resonate with one another and combine into a Vampire Inheritance Keepsake. The keepsake starts the final quest chain that grants both general inheritance benefits and vampire-specific skills; the fragments themselves must remain in a player's carried inventory and can be forced to drop during conflict with another fragment holder. (Chapters 403, 516, and 522)

History and custody

Zhang Yang's first fragment

Zhang obtains Vampire Inheritance Fragment (1) after completing the hidden quest path around Sherryl. He initially considers giving the self-healing inheritance to Wei Yan Er, but retains the relic while deciding which guild member should receive it. Because Zhang seeks the S-class God of War line for himself, his possession is custodial rather than an attempt to claim Vampire Inheritance. (Chapters 395–403 and 477)

After Fatty Han enters the Chaos Realm, he asks for the Class B inheritance because it suits his ability level and desired survivability. Zhang transfers the first fragment and postpones his own sword quest to help search for the other five. The fragment is not unique to only one player worldwide, so another completed Vampire inheritor would not prevent Fatty from finishing his own set. (Chapters 513 and 515)

Keepsake and completed inheritance

Fatty gathers all six fragments in seven days and combines them into the Vampire Inheritance Keepsake, which activates the linking quest. After Zhang helps defeat Vampire Count Ferra and Fatty completes the remaining errands, Fatty formally obtains Vampire Inheritance. The fragments cease to be separately tracked after assembly, but the corpus does not state whether the resulting keepsake is consumed, retained, or removed when the inheritance is awarded. Abilities and mechanics

All six fragments are required to form the keepsake. Each fragment must remain in a player's active inventory and cannot be stored. The pieces resonate with each other; if a player carrying one is killed by another player who also possesses a Vampire fragment, the victim's fragment drops, making collection vulnerable to targeted PvP. (Chapter 403)

Activating the completed keepsake begins the final Inheritance quest rather than granting Vampire Inheritance immediately. Finishing that chain awards normal class benefits and vampire-specific skills. The fragments do not themselves provide the later transformation, blood drain, or bat movement as usable item activations; those are powers of the completed inheritance. (Chapters 403, 516, and 522)

The Class B line is repeatable across different players rather than globally unique. Once Fatty owns one starting fragment, resonance makes locating the remainder a matter of continued searching, but the corpus still requires seven days of collection and a difficult boss chain before completion. (Chapters 515–522)

Relationships

• Zhang Yang: The first holder and guild custodian who chooses not to claim the inheritance, transfers the fragment to Fatty, and assists with collection and the final boss. (Chapters 403, 477, and 515–522)
• Fatty Han: The intended inheritor who receives the first fragment, assembles all six into the keepsake, and completes the quest after which the fragments are no longer tracked separately. (Chapters 515–522)
• Wei Yan Er: Zhang's initial prospective recipient because the inheritance's recovery would improve her survivability; she never takes documented custody of these fragments. (Chapter 403)
