Rivalry repeatedly brings the two guilds into conflict, but One Sword Stroke ultimately becomes a pragmatic national ally as cross-region wars outweigh their domestic competition. Biography

Thunderstorm Castle and the Chaos Realm

Before the current timeline's competition develops, Zhang Yang remembers One Sword Stroke as an S-Class player whose annual salary reached 420 million, the highest in China. In the new history, he emerges as Imperial Sky's guild master and the captain who develops Sky and Ocean Electronics from a provincial team into one of China's strongest professional organizations. That reputation rests on demonstrated Guardian play as well as money: he is described as a professional-level tank and player-killer, recruits other elite competitors, and inspires conspicuous confidence among Imperial Sky's members. His first direct showdown with Zhang Yang begins as a controlled test between rival guilds. Mounted on a blood-red Battle Wolf, One Sword Stroke correctly predicts Whitey's charge and counters it with Agility of the Wild, reads ordinary heavy-weapon attacks well enough to evade them, and mirrors Zhang Yang's use of Block, Blood Rage, Blast Wave, Warrior's Will, and Destructive Smash. Inferior equipment and Zhang Yang's knowledge of the then-undiscovered Backspin Step decide the duel: One Sword Stroke cannot shake the rear attack until his mount skill recovers, and Shield Wall plus Berserker's Heal cannot overcome Destructive Smash's healing penalty. He loses cleanly, yet the fight establishes him as a mechanically serious rival rather than a leader carried by his guild. (Chapter 227)

Territory warfare turns that rivalry institutional. One Sword Stroke contests the first Territory Command Order and uses Destructive Smash to suppress healing while Imperial Sky pushes for control of Thunderstorm Castle. Later, when his team races Lone Desert Smoke for a dungeon first clear, he promises cash rewards and reimburses the potions his members expend, showing how he converts family resources into competitive preparation. Imperial Sky then finds the second Territory Order; One Sword Stroke publicly recruits Violet Star City players by promising to waive teleportation fees after victory, a costly incentive designed to trade short-term revenue for the army needed to secure a lasting base. One Sword Stroke uses the Monster Attack City Order before the second territory has been decided. After finding that territory's Command Order in Chapter 289, he schedules the monster assault on Thunderstorm Castle for the same window as the contest for Margulos, forcing Lone Desert Smoke to defend its existing base while Imperial Sky competes elsewhere. Only at the end of the simultaneous battles is One Sword Stroke declared the final holder of the second Territory Command Order and Margulos becomes his territory. Zhang Yang later answers with a comparable order against Imperial Castle, making the exchange reciprocal but destroying One Sword Stroke's newly won base. (Chapters 289–301)

One Sword Stroke later sends congratulations and suggests that their disagreement be settled, but Liu Wei's continuing hostility prevents a stable reconciliation and keeps Imperial Sky aligned against Lone Desert Smoke during the next major territorial campaign. The failed defense of Imperial Castle therefore precedes the later peace overture rather than representing a settled end to their rivalry. (Chapters 301–302 and 363)

That campaign is One Sword Stroke's most elaborate attempt to displace Zhang Yang. After acquiring a Territory Conquest Order through the main-story quest, he arranges for the strongest members of Rolling Rocks and Storm Riders to transfer temporarily into Imperial Sky. He withholds a Level 3 Guild Upgrade Order until minutes before the assault, expands the guild limit to thirty thousand, equips the front ranks with battle mounts, supports them with healers, and commits siege weapons and massed troops to the castle door. The plan is strategically coherent but compromised when Luo Xin Yan leaks it; Lone Desert Smoke prepares mechanical servants, survives the combined assault, and then retaliates against Imperial Sky's exposed forces. Inheritances and Territorial War

Defeat gradually changes One Sword Stroke's treatment of Lone Desert Smoke. In a five-player contest he preemptively attacks Dusk Phoenix because her crowd-control threat could decide the free-for-all, demonstrating that he can act on positional danger rather than personal animosity. He later congratulates Zhang Yang on reaching the Chaos Realm and again tries to put the feud behind them. Although he remains proud and competitive, these approaches establish the basis for later councils in which Imperial Sky and Lone Desert Smoke coordinate as leading Chinese guilds. His real-world position also becomes central. One Sword Stroke is the successor to Sky and Ocean Electronics, a family company valued at roughly seven to eight hundred million, and Luo Xin Yan's business suggestions help improve its performance. Their relationship draws him away from Liu Wei, who had previously introduced Luo Xin Yan as his mistress; One Sword Stroke nevertheless chooses to marry her after learning that history. The resulting conflict is both personal and organizational, ending the collaboration that had once supported Imperial Sky's attacks on Thunderstorm Castle. (Chapters 462, 481, 484–485, and 585)

After the wedding, One Sword Stroke and his wife Luo Xin Yan are abducted as they leave the church. The first report says that the attackers castrated him, gang-raped Luo, recorded the assault, and put the video online; the same report says that the investigation is still under way, while characters suspect Liu Wei without possessing evidence that ties him to the crime. The corpus presents these details as the reported assault on the newlyweds, not as a pre-wedding attack or as One Sword Stroke's own public account. (Chapter 592)

Several days later, One Sword Stroke personally confirms that his castration is real and announces through Imperial Sky that he intends to continue playing rather than yield to intimidation. That disclosure produces widespread support and new guild applications, but the chapter does not say that he publicly confirms Luo's rape; it instead recounts how forum users reconstruct and distort the couple's history while assigning blame to Liu Wei. One Sword Stroke's return is therefore evidence of continued leadership after physical trauma, while both the assault's perpetrator and the scope of his wife's own public testimony remain unresolved. During a major foreign incursion, One Sword Stroke initially bristles when Zhang Yang asks Imperial Sky to provide fifteen hundred fighters, interpreting the request as doubt about his patriotism. He nonetheless commits the force and later joins Snow Seeker and other guild masters in regional counterattack planning. He also participates in the Legendary main-story expedition led by Zhang Yang, accepts coordinated task assignments, and acknowledges the value of following a single command structure when the national objective requires it. One Sword Stroke's later duel with Death Arbiter displays both progression and restraint. He arrives on a Golden-Winged Condor with heavy armor, shield, and one-handed axe, suppresses his anger at Liu Wei long enough to assess the stronger immediate opponent, and fights evenly despite a two-level equipment threshold, an inferior mount tier, and Death Arbiter's real-world martial-arts advantage. He deliberately conceals an unnamed Inheritance Transformation as a trump card; the corpus confirms that he possesses the transformation but does not disclose its name, quest, or personal mechanics. After seven minutes both fighters are near the Killing Cleave threshold, but a disguised player heals One Sword Stroke on Liu Wei's signal; One stops attacking, refuses to accept the tainted result, and leaves while the crowd wrongly brands Imperial Sky as cheaters. By the international territory battle, he is trusted as one of China's strongest defensive players. He helps hold a church entrance, conserves his transformation through the first hour when weaker tanks must transform early, and even tries to recruit the strategist Mountain Mover from Lone Desert Smoke. His final documented appearance comes in the defense of Crimson Sky City: One Sword Stroke and Absolute Aeonic Dominator are the only named Imperial Sky members among nineteen survivors after catastrophic area attacks, and every survivor is at least Level 215 with an active Class A-or-higher transformation. He remains alive and operating at endgame level; the text does not state his later professional or family circumstances. (Chapters 686–687 and 828–830)

Appearance and personality

The corpus does not provide a reliable real-world description of One Sword Stroke's face, height, hair, or clothing. His visual identity is instead conveyed through his Guardian avatar: heavy armor, a large shield, and a one-handed battle axe, first seen riding a blood-red wolf and later a Golden-Winged Condor. During the territorial assault he also rides a White-Boned Sabretooth. These changing mounts mark his progression, but none establishes an unchanging physical feature of the player himself. One Sword Stroke is proud, competitive, and willing to spend heavily for victory, yet he is neither reckless nor incapable of respect. He praises strong opponents, recognizes Zhang Yang as the world's best tank and warrior even while disliking him, and can postpone a personal vendetta to deal with a more immediate combat threat. His plans favor secrecy, late surprises, recruited talent, and mass coordination; their limits are his appetite for decisive prestige and the information leaks or counters that expose those plans. After domestic rivalry gives way to regional danger, his patriotism and organizational discipline make him a dependable, if prickly, ally. (Chapters 227, 289, 391–395, 534, 622, and 638)

Abilities and gameplay

One Sword Stroke is a high-level Guardian whose demonstrated strengths combine shield defense, anti-healing pressure, mounted movement, professional PvP judgment, an unnamed inheritance, and large-guild command. His future-history reputation and current recognition as China's second tank support his elite status, but they do not provide a complete personal skill sheet; only mechanics he actually uses or the narration explicitly attributes to him are included below. (Chapters 2, 160, 227, 585, and 622)

Guardian combat

His foundational cycle uses Blood Rage to generate Rage, Block to negate frontal physical attacks and generate more Rage, and Cripple Defense to bait an opponent's Block. Destructive Smash supplies burst damage and reduces incoming healing by 75%, while Force Strike adds another Rage-consuming attack. Shield Wall provides emergency mitigation. In his first duel with Zhang Yang, One Sword Stroke still has access to Berserker's Heal, but Destructive Smash sharply weakens it; that self-heal is later removed from the game entirely rather than remaining part of his endgame kit. The class is especially effective against Berserkers, but One Sword Stroke can still be overpowered by superior Strength, gear tiers, levels, or mechanical knowledge. (Chapters 227, 244, and 623)

His party-control kit is demonstrated most clearly in the Soaring Swords final. Sacrifice redirects all damage from a protected ally to the Guardian for five seconds, reaches thirty meters, and has a one-minute cooldown; One Sword Stroke uses it on Fire Fountain when Lone Desert Smoke changes focus. Blast Wave projects a conical shock wave that deals damage based on Strength and stuns affected targets for four seconds, while Thunder Strike damages nearby enemies, cuts their movement speed by 50% for five seconds, and generates heavy aggro. Combined with tactical commands and Vanguard's Aggression, these skills let him control the outnumbered first round and defeat Zhang's four teammates. (Chapters 45, 70, 158, and 281)

The rematch also shows how that control can be answered. One Sword Stroke uses Charge to cross the gap and stun Wei Yan Er, deploys Vanguard's Aggression around his party, and later breaks a Blast Wave stun with Warrior's Will before casting Sacrifice. Zhang responds by staying outside Blast Wave and Thunder Strike range, withdrawing until the ten-second defensive field expires, and staggering Charge and other stuns so One Sword Stroke cannot freely reach his intended targets. Vanguard's Aggression itself changes immediately after this tournament. In its original form it creates an immobile three-meter protective field for ten seconds: allies inside take only 10% of incoming damage, while the caster suffers increased damage. The Chapter 283 class revision turns it into a movable three-meter aura centered on the user while preserving its ten-second duration, removing the stationary field's main positional weakness for all later uses. The latest rules impose a different endurance limit. By Chapter 623, Berserker's Heal has been removed from the game, so neither One Sword Stroke nor Death Arbiter can sustain a long duel through that former Warrior self-heal. Both instead create safe windows with stuns, then use Bandages or Healing Potions while the opponent cannot interrupt them. He reads the wind-up of ordinary heavy-weapon attacks and can evade them while mounted, but targeted skills do not offer the same visual warning. Against Zhang Yang, he correctly counters Wild Charge with Agility of the Wild, which raises the wolf's movement speed by 50% for five seconds, costs twenty Focus, and has a thirty-second cooldown. Once it is unavailable, Zhang Yang's Backspin Step lets him remain behind One Sword Stroke, where frontal blocking and prediction cannot solve the positional disadvantage. During the Thunderstorm Castle conquest, One Sword Stroke also fires Flaming Tongue from his palm as a signal for nearby Imperial Sky members to focus Zhang Yang. The narrator estimates its base attack at roughly ten thousand by comparison with a similar skill, but Shield Wall reduces the demonstrated hit to 170 damage. Mounts and paired attacks

One Sword Stroke progresses from a blood-red Battle Wolf to a White-Boned Sabretooth and eventually a Violet-Platinum Golden-Winged Condor. The wolf supplies Agility of the Wild for short bursts of speed; the sabretooth carries him while commanding the Thunderstorm Castle assault; and the condor gives him flight. Against Death Arbiter, the condor is one tier below the opponent's Mythical mechanical tiger, so its mobility cannot erase the associated attribute gap. Mounts are also disabled in interior environments, forcing inheritance holders without transformation-granted wings to fight on the ground. (Chapters 227, 391, 622, and 687)

While allied with Liu Wei, One Sword Stroke jointly activates the paired Starfall and Meteor Crash attack with him. The corpus does not assign Starfall to one partner and Meteor Crash to the other. They must hold hands and remain in place while activating the pair; during that channel they are immune to attack. The resulting meteor field lasts thirty seconds and has a stated base of five thousand Fire damage per second, reduced to roughly two or three thousand against fire-resistant defenders. Guild and professional leadership

One Sword Stroke can recruit elite specialists, finance consumables and rewards, command thirty thousand players, coordinate healers and mounted front lines, and deploy siege weapons. His Level 3 Guild Upgrade Order expands Imperial Sky at the moment of attack, while temporary transfers from allied guilds concentrate their best players under one legal conquest roster. These tools make him dangerous beyond individual combat, but they remain resource- and information-dependent: the Thunderstorm Castle plan fails once its surprise is leaked and Lone Desert Smoke prepares a mechanical counterforce. At professional and regional scale, he turns the same authority toward team-building and coalition warfare.
