Kyle Dylan

Kyle Dylan is an elderly grave keeper who disguises a twenty-year effort to resurrect Anelia as a campaign against the undead. (Chapters 404–414)

Biography

Thunderstorm Castle and the Chaos Realm

Kyle receives Zhang Yang, Han Ying Xue, and Wei Yan Er outside his cottage and repeatedly sends them against skeletons, zombies, necromancers, and Shaman Mordoro, presenting each request as another step toward lasting peace. He collects the bones and other materials they return, but his public-spirited story is a deception: the entire chain gathers what he needs to resurrect Anelia after twenty years of waiting. When the ingredients are complete, Kyle openly thanks the adventurers for doing the work under the promise of justice and treasure. His plan succeeds in bringing Anelia back through Mordoro's Heart, but Kyle dies during the resurrection sequence; one of the newly raised skeletons is formed from his corpse, while Anelia inherits the heart's ability to raise further undead. (Chapters 404–414)

Appearance and personality

Kyle appears to be about sixty years old, stands outside a cottage made from grass, and uses a cane. His hopeful expression and gentle cough support the role of a frail guardian, but his final manic laughter reveals calculated obsession beneath that presentation. He is patient enough to sustain the deception for an entire quest chain and cares more about restoring Anelia than the adventurers or the peace he invokes. (Chapters 404–412)

Abilities and gameplay

Kyle functions chiefly as a quest coordinator rather than a combatant. He knows where the undead operate, collects proof items, and uses Mordoro's Heart with the accumulated materials to resurrect Anelia. The precise ritual mechanics are not explained, and the power associated with the heart passes to Anelia rather than remaining Kyle's own. His death and conversion into a raised skeleton show that the ritual does not protect its caster. (Chapters 404–414)

Relationships

  • Anelia: The person Kyle has waited twenty years to resurrect. His quest deception and final ritual are organized entirely around restoring her, at the cost of his own life. (Chapters 412–414)
  • Zhang Yang: Kyle uses Zhang Yang and his party to gather undead remains and remove Mordoro, hiding the actual purpose until the necessary ingredients are assembled. (Chapters 404–412)
  • Han Ying Xue and Wei Yan Er: Members of the adventuring group that completes Kyle's linked requests and then faces the consequences of Anelia's resurrection. (Chapters 404–414)

Items

  • Mordoro's Heart: The ritual component Kyle uses to resurrect Anelia. Its power gives Anelia the ability to raise undead, but Kyle does not survive to retain or control it. (Chapters 412–414)
  • Collected bones: Skeleton and necromancer bones are accepted as quest proof and covert resurrection ingredients. They have no named item page or later custody in the corpus. (Chapters 404–407 and 412)
