Lu Huai Ru is the Lu Clan chief and covert Demonic God cult leader targeted by a Dragon Mountain Mansion mission. He turns his castle into a layered defensive weapon and, after its hidden emissary is killed, chooses to collapse the stronghold rather than surrender.

Biography

Siege of the Lu Clan castle

Lu Huai Ru is initially presented as a Meteor mage whose clan appears too weak to justify a five-person assault. The true danger lies in preparation: alarm arrays expose intruders, killing formations fill the inner castle, Meteor knights and cult protectors wait under his command, and a Demonic God Emissary remains concealed at the center. When Yu Jing Qiu's Frost Snakes destroy most of the outer defenses, Lu accepts that passive resistance will fail and commits his remaining protectors and strongest localized array to a lethal ambush. (Chapters 39–46)

The emissary's death to Dong Bo Xue Ying destroys Lu Huai Ru's last expectation of rescue. Faced with capture and the loss of his cult center, he activates a final mechanism intended to kill everyone with him, collapsing the entire castle. Xue Ying and the surviving mission members escape the destruction, while Lu dies in the blast he chooses. (Chapters 47–49)

Appearance and personality

Automatic alarms reveal entry, multiple corridors contain killing traps, and throne-side controls activate mechanisms remotely. His strongest localized formation can threaten several Silver Moon knights when combined with protectors carrying Demonic Water Crystals. These systems depend on fixed terrain and accumulated construction; Jing Qiu's two Frost Snakes destroy roughly ninety percent of them before the party reaches the center. (Chapters 39–46)

His final mechanism collapses the castle on everyone inside, demonstrating destructive scale but no safe escape for its user. No passage shows Lu casting a conventional spell or fighting personally, so the source supports refiner expertise, array control, and a suicidal failsafe rather than a broader combat repertoire.
